Hi,
I am thinking a stroller as a wheelchair accommodation will really help with our ds.
We were not planning on renting a double this trip, but the more I think about the August heat, 7 day trip it may be easier with our dd.
But I can't imagine bringing a double in the ride mazes. Anyone ever do it? Is it possible?

I am not sure if we can bring our stroller and a cheap umbrella stroller on the plane when we only have one child than needs a stroller.

Thanks

I have seen a dibble stroller in a line befor ( it was not the park one ) they did not have any problems with it )TSMM FP and I know one other but I for got

the double should be front to back, not side to side to maximize navigability. the huge plastic ones you can rent really do not fit so if you need to use SAW accommodation, plan accordingly.

You've confused me - if you only have one child requiring a stroller, why are you bringing two?

the ones I have seen in line where side by side I have seen one back to back not in line but the dad ( or at lest that is who I think he was ) was saying it was to hard to take it in line ( I was in faticey land bathroom area and he was talking to the mom? when he was saying this so I am not sure what line he was trying it ( 7DMT PP Pooh Small world? would be my guess )

Front/back doubles may be particularly difficult with switchback queues because of the length. Most side/side doubles fit within the ADA dimensions for a mobility device and so should fit the queues fine.

OP, it sounds like at least 1 child is older than "typical" stroller age. Depending on ages and sizes of both children, a double stroller may be very hard and heavy to push. Could your DD use a standing board feature to ride along? I believe some rentals offer that option.

Enjoy your vacation!

Yes lanejudy- you got it- ds will be 3 in September - he has special needs. Stroller in line with help with sensory overload, give him a safe haven etc. ds is small for his age.
dd is 7- small (under 50 pounds) she does not need a stroller in the slightest but in August, for 7 days walking everywhere I'm debating for parks like Epcot, renting a side by side double as we have done in the past.
Last year we didn't have the issues because ds needs have made this year full of ot, pt, speech, doctors :( so didn't need the stroller as a wheelchair last trip.

Ideally would like a standing board. That would solve my worries but checked magic, kingdom and apple and didn't see it as an option.

Orlando Stroller Rental lists a glider board but I just realized it indicates under 45lbs; you said Your DD is under 50.

Bring the single stroller from home, rent another at the parks as needed. Makes it easier in the queues with the single from home. Park the rental when you don't need it, like in Fantasyland. You may find you don't even need a second stroller at MK, and that would save you all the trouble of trying to get a double rental through the queues.

If you have two kids, you can check two strollers at the gate at the airport if you want to bring two strollers from home.

We looked at the prices. We could rent a single as needed at the parks for 13 per day. That would be around 91 so same price as a 7 day rental of a double from other companies.
If we did that we wouldn't have the bus issue of my husband hating the double on a crowded bus or the double stroller squeeze in lines. I think this would be best to rent a single at the parks.

Thank you for your help everyone.
