String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Major  and peaceful, sleeping :wizard: are being sent your way. Beth, I am so very sorry that you are going through this. Your family will be in our prayers. :grouphug: Please take good care of you.

Tracy:wave2:

I'm so sorry you and your family have to go through all of this, Beth. It makes me mad  . What does she think she will accomplish by harrassing you like this?!

 Take good care of you. I hope you weekend is stress-free.

I'm really sorry for what you are having to continue to go through. Can you go to the Y at noc without Katie or with Won/Katie? I know you would be rearranging your life/giving her too much power, but maybe you would feel better having your husband with you/your daughter not there. Just a thought. Hang in there. You are doing so well by even still wanting to work out. Pat yourself on the back for that and don't worry about stress eating. You will get that under control in due time. Take care.

My dear Beth, I've just gotten caught up on your journal. I'm so sorry about all the trials in your life right now. Car troubles and MIL - oh my!! I'd be stress-eating too! Maybe you can acknowledge that stress-eating and keep things on hand that won't do too much damage.

Your weight is the least of your problems at this point, Beth. You are stressed out and with good reason. I know it's hard to do, but maybe you should drop your expectations of weight loss at the moment. Focus your energy on the more important things in your life - keeping Katie happy and safe, for one. Exercise should still be on the priority list to help you cope with the stress. You should try to eat healthy for the most part but don't get too worried about the slip-ups.

Beth, do you have any trusted friends who might babysit Katie for a few hours, to give you a little time for yourself? I think a little time away from all these situations would be good for you.

I'm sending up prayers for you, Beth, and I'm sending    and peaceful :wizard: your way.

Weekend in review....

Friday night was busy, and I only got a 10 minute break. Gobbled down my ham/cheese rollups and salad. I ate too fast and got a tummy ache. Came home and fell into bed. At noon, Katiie woke me up. She was hungry and couldn't get Daddy to wake up. (he'd been gaming until 3AM) Well, needless to say I was able to wake him up, and I don't think he'll be sleeping on his watch again, at least in the next week. Unfortunately, I couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up and cleaned the bathrooms. Ended up sleeping from 8P-9:30Pm, and then I went to work. God, it was boring. I basically babysat and did the competencies on the computer. At 330 There was shift change, and Jill came in. She is going to WDW for 14 days in October. I asked her what PS she had made. She didn't know she needed any. She is also on the Gold plan. :sad2: She had no idea about anything, EMH, PS, transportation, different shows, no prep work at all. She figured she could walk up to Ca grill and get a table. Well,I gave her the scoop. We hit the net, and made an itinerary. We chose what places she wanted to eat, things she wanted to do.We had 4 computers going, and Jill was running computer to computer looking at menus. At 0700 I hit the cell phone. I made PS for 12/14 days. I managed to get her CRT, HDD(must have been a cancelation), tix to Cirque, Chef Mickey's, CP,and drum roll please....an illuminations cruise. I also booked a towncar for her. She still needs to make PS for the other 2 days, but I did the rest. A whole itinerary in 2.5 hours. It was fun, and my coworker, Debe is headed there in January. She offered me $100 to do the same thing for her. I'll get some $, for planning a vacation.:smooth:
Jill will either thank me when she comes back, or hate me. She is someone who likes a plan, so I think it will be ok. There are 3 days in there where the only "planned" things are dinner. She is also not a patient person, so I think PS are a must for her. I know that there are lots of people who just wing it, and aren't really clued in to what WDW really is. I am all for the relaxed spontaneous vacation, but do a little bit of research. I will be interested to hear how her trip goes.

I'm not exercising today, I am really tired. Nothing new on PG. I plan to go to the Y tomorrow. I have been OP over the weekend.

I hope to get cought up on journals tonight.
Take care,
Beth

Hmmmm, do I see a new career in Beth's future? Maybe a WDW Vacation Specialist?;) Hey, it could happen! My next door neighbor is a neonatal intensive care nurse AND a WDW travel agent working at a nearby travel agency. Just think of it, Beth, free trips, lots of perks, fun in the sun  .

Here's a  for you and for your new day. Just take it slowly, Beth. God will carry you through the challenges of this Monday, whatever they may be.:flower3: .

Take care,
Erin

PS If you have a minute, come visit me at my new journal!:teeth:

Well we decided to hold off on replacing the car right now. We are going to wait one year then replace it. Not a big deal. It is the right decision for us financially. We had the mechanic go over it head to toe, and he thinks it is in pretty good shape, so we'll wait until Katie is in kindergarten. Her tuition is the equivalent of a lease payment. That way, I won't have to pick up more hours until Katie is in 1st grade.

Today went well. I've decided to hang out at the Y the entire time Katie is in camp. I did my weights, 65 minutes on the treaddie(4 miles), 20 on the arc glider, and then swam some laps in the pool. Then the kids were in the pool, so I played with Katie and her friends. When we came into the lockerroom PG was there, of course. I very vocally pointed her out to all of the counsellors and said that that woman has a restraining order, and she is not to come near Katie. If she approaches Katie, call the police. I feel very territorial right now. I hope she was embarrassed.
I was exhausted when this was over. After lunch, we sacked out on the couch and watched Disney videos. After dinner, Won had Katie, and I did the grocery shopping. I've been OP today.

Sorry I won't be getting to journals today. Naturally, when I am sacked in front of the tv, and can DIS, the forums are down. I hope all are well. I am off to bed.

Beth,
I just wanted to stop by and say hi and to let you know that we are praying for you and your family. I am sorry that PG is still coming around.

Take good care of you and have a terrific Tuesday!:sunny:

So far, so good.

I went to the Y today. I did 65 minutes/5 miles on the treaddie, and then I swam for 30 minutes. That is hard work. Give me the treadmill any day. I got changed, and showered.;) Went to the Starbucks next door. Coffee in hand, back to the Y. I curled up in one of their couches to read the Notebook. Sre enough, in walks PG. I glared and followed her. I'm being very obvious about it too. She hits the lockerroom just in time to see Katie getting ready for the pool. I take my coffee to the observation window, so I can keep an eye on her. We then went to lunch and hit a sale at the local Parisian. I was able to get her 5 pairs of jeans, 3 shirts, and a pair of leggings for $65. Back home to watch Cinderella. It is raining and 59* at the moment. Not our usual July. Food has been OP, and I am just starting to get rid of the bloated feeling.
I hope all is well with everyone.
Beth

Hi Beth,
Thanks for the birthday wishes for Caley in my journal. She had a great day yesterday!:Pinkbounc

You did a great job with your workout yesterday! Wow! I bet you burned a lot of calories with all of that activity.::yes::

Have a great day today! Hope the :sunny: shines where you are today!

Tracy:wave2:

Hi Beth,
Just wanted to stop by and let you know I'm thinking about you. It really sounds like you are back on track with eating and exercise and for that you should be proud ::yes:: . I'm glad you were able to point out PG to the counselors. That way she knows that they are aware of the situation and she shouldn't try anything. Can't blame you one bit for feeling territorial.

I would love to be paid to help people plan their itineraries. Sounds like a fun way to make a little extra money. Hope it works out for you :D . Take care Beth.

Well, I was doing well, until a stop at Coldstone. Won bought me one of their lc ice cream. It was so creamy and good, but too much. I also know it should be labeled lower carbs. Oh well, it was good.

PG was at the Y again. I did 4 miles on the hill program on the treaddie. I'm back at 4mph.

My car is at the mechanics. We want him to go over it, and tell us what work he thinks will need to be done in the next year. We want to make an informed decision about the car.

Tomorrow my girlfriend is coming over after lunch. She is buying my season football tickets. Then Won's brother is coming over for dinner. My bet is that he wants money. I hope I am wrong.

I need to go fold laundry. I am sorry that I haven't gotten to journals lately. Hanging out at the Y for 3.5 hours really cuts into my day. I'm thinking of all of you.
Beth

Hi Beth,
I've just caught up with your journal. A couple of questions regarding PG - What range does the restraining order say she needs to stay away from you and Katie? Is her constant driving by the house a violation of this? Are you keeping a journal to record the times she drives by the house?

I'm sorry to hear that PG is making this so difficult for you. Why isn't her husband stepping in and taking care of this? Know that my prayers are with you.

Now on to the good stuff - WAY to GO with getting back on track! You've been eating good and doing some major workouts! That is awesome! Keep it up!

~Amanda

Hi Amanda,

PG cannot come withing 150 yards of Katie or I. Of course, if she is in the locker room 1st, then no deal. She is then just to avoid contact. Driving by the house isn't a violation. She just can't come on the property. It is frustrating.

Sorry I have been neglecting the boards. I have been on the other boards today. A woman from one of the other units called last night. She wants me to plan her trip. Another $100. This could turn into something.

We definately need a new car. There is $3800 in repairs needed to my current one. We went to the dealer today and checked some out. Won is in charge. I just want another SUV. I think he is buying it on Saturday.

I took it easy today. 5 miles on the hills program. I plan on doing 2 miles tomorrow and then trying the class called boot camp. It is a crazy class. It starts out on the cycles, then you walk 2 laps, do lunges for 2 laps, hit the treaddie at an incle of 15 for 5 minutes, then back to class for ab work. I'll let you know if I survive.

I work a 12 hour shift tomorrow. I plan on a good nap. I'll be able to con Katie into a nap because Daddy is taking her to the Tigers game tomorrow night. I'll sleep Saturday, then Sat. afternoon, I'm taking her to my parents house. They miss their munchin, and the neighbor's just got a horse. katie can swim and go riding. I'll also take her bike with us. She has to show off. She is riding without her training wheels now.

I'm off to bed. I hope everyone has a good day. I'll try to hit journals, I promise.
Beth

Beth, sorry to hear the car won't hold up for the long run. Best wishes to Won on getting a good deal on another vehicle!

Your time at the Y has been very productive!! Not only can you keep an eye on Katie, but you can get quite a workout in!! I'm so impressed with all the exercise!! WOW! It sounds like your stamina and endurance are truly back after your bout with pneumonia! YAY!!

Best wishes for a wonderful Friday!! :sunny:

Hey Beth- sorry I have been away from your journal for so long- with the boards being down I am trying to get caught up with everyone. You do sound back on track.
I thought about you yesterday because my car broke down on the side of the interstate and I was thinking about you and Katie getting out just before the car got hit. We could not get out because there was nowhere to go- thankfully it turned out okay and the car is fine... Thank God for AAA.

Are people paying you to plan their WDW trips? That is so fun! I think I like planning as much as going.

Keep up the good work.
Mary:sunny:

Lots of positive changes in the family right now. How's that for a change?:p My sister had her baby. 7lbs, 10oz boy. Camden Dean. I'm not sure where she came up with the name, but he'll be Cam. C section, but she is on morphine, so she is happy at the moment.:smooth:

I also got my new car. A silver trailblazer. We got an awesome deal on the lease, so we are happy there. I also got a $1/hr raise. So all is good in my life this weekend. I took tonight off. I am headed to bed. If the hospital will let Katie in to see Camden, we'll head to Grand Rapids to meet my nephew tomorrow.

I hope all are well. I'll check in later.
Beth
