Three kids - no stretch marks.. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones - considering I gained 60 lbs. for my first born - who weighed 8lbs..:goodvibes

i have had stetch marks on the girls since puberty. before my weight loss, i was well-endowed. i also have them on my arms, stomach and hips from weight gain, and pregnancy-i gained 63 pounds with DD, who weighed 8 lbs, 7 oz. DD is now 12, and also has stretch marks on the girls from growing. poor kid.

my nephew was very young, and showering with his mom, when he noticed her stretch marks. he was AMAZED and said she has stripes like a TIGER!!!!! :lmao:

BTW, yes, i have them too. pregnancy and weight gain.....

I said yes from weight gain/loss but that isn't quite accurate. I "developed" quickly and caused stretch marks in my hip area as well as up top. So I have had them since puberty. They are *very* light and hard to tell they are there really unless the light hits just right. I didn't gain any weight during that time but the body shape changed from little curves to very curvy.

I was afraid after that I would get them during pregnancy, but I had absolutely zero from that. I truly think the body changes for me during pregnancy were far less than the ones I had during my early teens.

I'm a zebra at the moment. They're from pregnancy and pregnancy weight gain. In my first pregnancy, I didn't show at all until about 16 weeks, then POP! I was huge. This time, I'm huge at 11 weeks and they're getting pinker and more prominent.

Oh, and apparently I carry babies in my thighs because my poor thighs get HUGE during pregnancy and that means... you guessed it... stretchmarks!! Wooo!!

Not really weight related, but I used to be a pretty serious equestrian. My thighs were very muscled. When I went to college I switched sports and became decidedly less leggy. I have tiny stretch marks on the outside of my thighs. I never noticed them until DH pointed them out.

3 kids, all over 10 lbs, and one was over 11 lbs. No stretch marks. Not saying there was no damage, but stretch marks wasn't part of it.

I survived pregnancy with zero stretch marks but then I gained and lost a lot of weight a couple of times. Now I have some light stretch marks on my hips. My body makes me think of a balloon that has been inflated and deflated just one too many times. :sad2:

My DM had them all over her stomach area. I have none and have DS20 and DD18. DD18 has DGS6 months and has awful stretch marks on her thighs and hips. They are really bright and are bad enough that we are looking into her having laser treatments on them. She had a few light ones and was a size 0 (the biggest size she'd ever worn) before DGS, gained 28 lbs with him, and now wears a size 4. She used many different creams that were suppose to keep them off but needless to say, it didn't work!

Anybody got any other great ways to get rid of them?

I didn't vote, because there wasn't an option for me. I have stretch marks specifically from pregnancy, and I have stretch marks from weight gain. Goody for me. :sad2:

lol same here

I have huge stretch marks all over my "girls" - pregnancy hormones caused them to increase in size quickly and dramatically.
None on my stomach or hips (that I can see!) LOL

I have them all over my stomach from giving birth to two very large babies. They are horrible, not little ones but large crater like.

My doctor said blame it on my mother, if she had them, I'll have them.

If that's the case, I'm going to encourage my daughter to use a surrogate or adopt :lmao:

I'm one of those genetically lucky ones I guess (at least when it comes to stretch marks) Two kiddos and none! My Mom and Grandma don't have them either.
I also got genetically crazy quick labors that don't ever allow the time for pain meds. I think I might be OK with a few stretch marks if I could swap them for just a little more time to get that epidural!!

I voted yes from 2 kids however I only have a few very faint on my breast area and that is it...:cool1::cheer2:

I have some on my legs/hips from growth spurt in middle school - made it hard cause when friends wanted to go swimming I was very embarassed by them! Now I could care less, but back then it was hard!

Also have on my stomach and my "girls" from weight gain last year from stress-eating. And as I am losing weight the marks are starting to fade a bit, except for the ones on my "girls" they are like really dark still!!! And I'm not losing weight in them at all! Its so frustrating, I'd rather lose weight in my bra than in my waistline!!

Hips, recently some on stomach which means I need to lose some weight. None on my thighs yet.

Interesting. I gained weight from stress eating in fall 2008 (breakup), and some of that went to my "girls" and with the weight I've lost, very little has been lost from them. I weigh a little less than I did in summer 2008, but my bra size is larger.
