I booked our Sequoia Lodge room asked for Main building was cheaper then the other 2 options Montana and Montana with lakeside view! This is all we wanted was to be in the main building so was very happy with it!

I checked our confirmation email today and it says standard room :confused3 I have looked all over internet and standard room description says in one of our lodges!!!!

I really dont want to be in a lodge with Elsie I wanted it to be easy be able to get to breakfast and have a shorter walk back to our room! I was thinking of upgrading to a lakeside view as surely we are guaranteed to be in the main building. But online there arent any! :scared1:

But looking at prices Hotel New York is only £78 more we would also get a hot breakfast I am really considering this but would I be waisting £78 could I ring and request a main building room in Sequoia Lodge? Still there is a chance I wont get it!

If the internet is only showing rooms available for Montana rooms will there even be any in the main building? does this mean the hotel is going to be very busy?

So confused :confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

Hello, some standar room are in the Main Building now , i was in a new room Montana in a lodge for Halloween , and it's not a probleme for breakfast and for the pool.:)

thats a great price to upgrade to hotel new york. if it was me, i would upgrade, as new york is closer to the village, and its hot food at breakfast. 78 is a fab price. and you know that its all in one building

Hi, I did the same as you, at the time I booked the montana rooms were in the lodges. It doesn't mention main building on my Disney reservation letter, but it does on the letter from my travel agents, so I plan to take this when I check in just in case. Like you, I want to be in the main building!

I am sure if you explain that when you booked it said that standard rooms were in the main building, they will do their best to accomodate you.

We have stayed at SL twice before, never booked a montana room, but have always had a room in the main building. I think that if they aren't full, they put people in the main building where possible. Not sure if this will still be the case because of the refurbs though?

Are there any school holidays while you are there? If not, I would think that you will be OK.

I have also booked a room in the main building for our trip in March as it was a good bit cheaper at the time. I'm not too bothered whether they put us in the lodges tho - I'm hoping the weather will be mild enough and we'll only be doing 1 trip each way each day anyway. Saying that I stayed in HNY last time and I totally fell in love with it. It's my favorite onsite hotel by far so if I were you i'd upgrade if you can afford it.:goodvibes

Thanks every one I am going to ring to day when DD is having her nap and ask if they say I will defiantly be in the main building I will just leave it!

With having Elsie and planning on going back most days so she can have a nap before we go back out for a meal I dont want a huge walk or I would of just paid to stay at the Cheyenne or Santa Fe!

I would love to stay in Hotel New York though I want to stay here more then Disneyland Hotel! x
