Money is tight right now. My plans were to go in May to Disney for 9 days. The way things are looking I could only do 7 days. The other option we have is to wait and go in Decemeber. If we wait until December we could actually go for 2 weeks. We have never been at this time.
I am impatient and really want to go in May, but am thinking it might be worth it to see Disney at Christmastime.
How are the crowds comparing early May to early December?
How is the temp difference? We technically could do one week in may andthen one in December, but I did not want to pay for airfare twice. I also did not waznt to take the kids out of school 2 seperate times.

The weather in May is bellissimo!! The crowds are moderate. It has been a long time since I've been to WDW in December. The weather is a hit or miss. They crowds used to be the same...moderate.

IMHO May is too crowded & HOT & HUMID!
December makes WDW more magical than any other time of the year. Special shows, the resorts & parks look amazing!:lovestruc

The weather seems to be different every year, 12/07 was very warm for that time of year...mid - high 80's. Remember all the pools are heated so if that is a concern don't worry about it.
I think longer is always better so hold on until December it will be well worth it!

I would go for a week in May and a week in Dec. Both times of the year are fantasic. I dont think I would enjoy 2 full weeks at a time in WDW.

I'd advise against going to WDW in May because of the LOVE BUGS! :scared1:

Christmastime at Disney is absolutely spectacular! We've done it three years in a row and we stay for at least 10 nights. Now we could go in the summer and in December but we choose the longer stay for Christmas. :thumbsup2

I agree... May is hot and humid and full of lovebugs. I know!!!!!

I cote December. It'll be crowded, sure, but magical. Have fun whenever you go. :goodvibes

I agree with December!! It's a very magical time with amazing decorations and the Christmas spirit is in the air. The weather I have heard is hit or miss, but last year, when I proposed to my gf, it was mainly 75-80 degrees and partially cloudy. We loved it!!

Another reason, I like going in May, is because of the Flower and Garden Festival. It's not hot or humid in May.:confused3 Of course, I'm a southerner, so I like warm weather.

i'd go twice too....we were just there in October but coming home wasn't so bad because I knew I had another trip to look forward to a mere 6 months later.:flower3:

We went May 8th-15th this past year...VERY little rain (only late one night),humidity is low, temp was 80-85 (but still very tolerable since humidity is low), most waits were 10-20 minutes at max (a little longer for the biggies such as EE), we only seen a few love bugs (nothing too annoying) until we went to MGM/Hollywood Studios...they were EVERYWHERE...it seemed to be much hotter there (I think because of the dark black top...much darker than the other parks)...I am guessing the hotter temps had something to do with how bad they were at MGM...once we left the park the problem seemed to go away. I, for one, loved may and will definitely go back again...the most perfect trip (all around) to WDW we have ever had in my opinion. :thumbsup2 Oh yeah, and the Flower and Garden Festival IS beautiful...very relaxing!
