I have been sick the last week. Besides feeling tense and achy, I've been nauseated and actually sick one day last week. My stomach is not the same, it's all tied up in knots. I'm physically and emotionally drained.
You have a fantastic trip, you will have so much fun. Don't feel guilty about smiling and laughing and having a good time.
I did not feel well most of last week. And I would think that what you are feeling is not at all unusual given these circumstances.
I hope that you feel better soon. If you or your husband has a place where you can talk (we have something called the Employee Assistance Plan ) to someone about your feelings, that may help.
My mother in law spent last night in the hosiptal after having a stress attack, she thought it was a heart attack. she has had herself so upset over the last week. the doctor gave her something to calm her nerves and direct orders not to watch tv or read the paper for a few days. And talking with the er doctor this is becoming more and more common this past week.
Espically with the elderly that live alone or with people whom loved ones travel alot
You might need a therapist. Verbalizing what you are feeling is very comforting. A close friend may also do the trick, but won't be able (generally speaking) to provide any interventions to remedy the anxiety you might be experiencing. But maybe all you need is to be heard (sometimes we are not-so-good at taking care of ourselves, getting our emotional needs met).
