Streaming Netflix Canada starts Today

Netflix canada has started it's streaming service today for $7.99 plus taxes.

Signed up, but since I'm at work, can't try it yet.

Streaming on PS3 and Wii are currently available, with the Xbox360 coming soon.

Thanks for posting this. I'll have to check it out. The guys on the Iphone in Canada podcast mentioned this on their last show.

A coworker tried my account on his iPad and it worked great. Not that we're watching movies on company time.

The only thing is they don't have anything recent in movies.

BACK to the Beach is on their musical list. Hairspray is the most recent movie I could see.

And no disney movies at all.

Great price to join, but I see nothing I would watch.

I talked to a friend that works at SONY Canada about this, and they mentioned that Netflix is extremely active in attempting to get Canadian rights for their service.

As for recent movies, I believe again that it is distribution rights that won't allow streaming for recent movies. I believe the window is 60 to 120 days after DVD reslease.
