Yoko Ono has alerted her lawyers that Kashi, an organic-food company owned by Kellogg's, is marketing a cereal under the name "Strawberry Fields."

The breakfast giant has filed for a trademark on the name, which Yoko thinks is too close to the Lennon-McCartney hit "Strawberry Fields Forever." (Ironically, Lennon once admitted he wrote the tune "Good Morning, Good Morning" after hearing the phrase on a TV commercial for corn flakes.)

Does she own the rights to the song? I thought Michael Jackson owned the rights to all the Beatles songs.

I'm not sure Olena...sounds like Yoko is trying to own the name "Strawberry Fields."

Or garner publicity.

The song was based on an actual place in England called Strawberry Field. It was a Salvation Army children's home. They didn't sue John Lennon when the song became a hit.

Did a strawberry fields search on google. At least 10 pages came up. Some of them with the name strawberry fields as the name of their companies. Wasn't there a clothing store years ago called strawberry fields? Sounds like she has way to much time on her hands. Edy's dreamery ice cream even has a strawberry fields flavor.
