Strategy with young kids - late June

We are planning our next (but not first) family trip back to the parks for June 24 (DL) and June 25 (DCA).

Our kids are 5.5 and 2.5.. 5.5 is tall but not super brave so she won’t ride everything she is able to. Staying at Grand Legacy and will rope drop both days. Based on the cost and rides available, I wasn’t planning to purchase G+ for this visit but maybe I can be convinced.

Here are our lists for both parks - yes, hoping Alice is back open by then.

We always do a mid day break, for what that’s worth. Is there anything glaringly wrong with my plans? Should I adjust order? Convince me to buy genie+? We have had it for past trips but torn this time.

With the specific rides you want, if you rope drop I don’t think you need Genie+. You will probably have to wait in some lines but it should be doable.

If you’ve already used Genie, I won’t try to sell you on it. I view it as a big bang for the buck, especially on a short trip. (For both time savings and de-stressor by providing flexibility.)

The only thing I’d monitor a bit is how bad the Gadget Coaster line can be, often rivaling Space Mountain to see if you want to hit it earlier.

My only advice is to go at their pace not yours.

Your plan looks good, just go in ready to be flexible if something has a long line or is down. Good idea to do a mid day break. My kids always appreciated that down time in the afternoon. The Grand Legacy looks nice! Have a great trip
