Help! We are leaving for our honeymoon on the 19th. Only two days in Disney and theN a Disney cruise. My current plan is Savor the Savanna on the 19th and Animal Kingdom After Dark and then MNSSHP on the 20th. Originally I wanted a romantic dinner at California Grill but couldn’t get a reservation. Someone I work with pulled some strings somehow and got us an 8:00 ressie. I’d still like to do Animal Kingdom. Is it possible? Can we have an 8:00 reservation and still get to animal kingdom by 9:45iSh and have a couple of hours?

California Grill is not a dinner I would want to rush through, which is what you will be doing if you want to hit that timeline. I would pick one or the other.

Dinner at Cali Grill could take up to 90 minutes. Then you have to get to AK, through security, etc. You probably wouldn't be there until about 10/10:15 pm at the earliest. If you really want to do AK and have a nice dinner, consider eating at Tiffins in AK or going over to AKL and eating at Jiko.

I agree with the above posters that you would be cutting it way too close on your CG dinner. The bus ride to AK is longish from the MK area, so you would need to be finished and waiting for a bus by a little after 9 to be at AK by 9:45.

I think it's possible, but you're going to have to be seated on time at CG, have only a single course at CG, and Uber directly from CF to AK.

However, I wouldn't do it. I'd pick one or the other and go with that.

Just a thought, and you'd have to luck out, but if you're talking the 19th and 20th of this month you could try for a Cali Grill Sunday Brunch ressie for the 20th, before you hit MNSSHP. Again, not a plan you can guarantee, but what I would do is set up reservation finders on both Touring Plans and Mouse Dining and be ready to jump onto the reservation site the second you get a text, if something opens up. I absolutely LOVE the CG brunch, I did it for the first time in Feb, and used a reservation finder to book it again for Nov. You never know, something might open up close to the date as people change their plans or cancel to avoid the cancellation fee.

I don't recommend giving up Savor the Savannah as I absolutely loved that experience as well! And you do get some food and the open bar for beer/wine during that. As a PP suggested, Tiffins would be a fantastic option for something at AK.
