We are visiting in late February and have tickets to Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness. My DD is a huge Mickey and friends fan and this will be a trip highlight. We want to arrive on time!

What's the best way to navigate the park when it opens to get to Toontown quickly?

I'm considering lining up at the Train to take it to Toontown ... has anyone tried this? Any better ways of navigating there quickly?

Also, consider that Main Street will be undergoing it's repaving, so I'm expecting it to be more congested than normal.

Thanks!

We just walked back there, no rush, when we went. But with the paving project, all bets are off. Train might be a good idea! Though sometimes those trains spend quite a bit of time at each station, so even with the paving you might be better off just walking.

They don't start the festivities for at least 20 minutes, and it's only a small subset heading all the way back to toontown on those days, so I wouldn't worry TOO much about it.

We went once with tickets I had purchased on ebay.

We used the "secret cut through" of walking through the shops on the right hand side of Main Street down to the photo place so that we were near the front of rope drop but not caught up in the mob. We headed straight back past what is now Pixie Hollow and were among the first people to arrive for TTMM. Thus, we were able to get pictures with every character before the show portion even began, and then used the time after the show to ride RR and play in Donald's boat and Goofy's house without any crowds!

Great idea about going down thru the stores ... but, is this easy to do with a stroller?

We actually had a stroller and that was why we went through the stores... the crowd out on Main Street can be a little hard to navigate and we wanted to ensure that our DS wouldn't get trampled in the mad rush. You would not believe how many times we have had people trip over the stroller, run into it, jump over it, etc!
