Strategy for E-night?

I am planning to attend the Aug 22 E-night with my kids. I have been reading about long lines, and personally think it might not be worth it but, once again I have been out voted.

Does anyone have a strategy to avoid some of the lines at E-night? The last time I attended one was a long time ago and we started in Tomorrowland and had long lines, we moved on to Frontierland and things seemed better but that may just have been because it was getting late.

Any ideas gratefully accepted!

I'm not sure you need a strategy for E-Ride nights. It's possible to see all of the open attractions in the three hours available. For the E-nights I've attended, we simply started in Tomorrowland and ended in Frontierland, if that helps.

What we have done is get to Tomorrowland just before E-night starts. The lines are ususally pretty short because people start leaving after the fireworks. There will be people on line without the wrist bands and they will not be allowed to enter when e-night starts so this will shorten the line.
This past June my DS and I went to Buzz just before the fireworks and got right on with almost no wait. We continued on again as the fireworks were going on. Then went right over to Space Mountain with almost no wait. Then over to Frontierland. It takes a while for the crowds (if it does get crowded when you go) to develop. I think that many people attending E-night don't get there until the last minute. So the earlier you are in the park the better. And it pays to be at the attraction you want to start E-night with. You can likely ride more than once with either no wait or minimal wait.
It was REALLY crowded the last Tuesday in June but we still had a great time.

I have never experienced lines nor crowds on the 4 or 5 E-nights I have done. I just wander around and enjoy, LOL.

We'll be there - PA mom of 3! I figure what the heck, it will probably be the only time we have a chance to do an e-night for a few years. They never seem to be scheduled when we go.

Reminder that BTMRR will be going down for rehab on the 25th so get your rides in.

We just got back from WDW today-er, make that about 8 p.m. last night as it is now 1:24 am on the 19th. I have done E-ride for the past 4 years, and have always been able to do rides over and over again. Did Splash Mt. 6 times in a row two years ago-last year, We never got off of Thunder Mt. and rode it 4 times. This year was different. We only got to do each ride once. The parks were so much more crowded both for E-ride and in the daytime. But we still had fun.

Thanks for all of your help. I am a little discouraged hearing about how crowded it has been. We usually go at Easter and we planned this week giving up the glorious spring weather, hoping for lighter crowds. We know how to use fastpass and get alot done in a crowded park, but we were hoping to try something different. I guess I'll have to wait 10 years for my kids to be out of school for that!
Who knows maybe next week will be a little better.

No matter how crowded it is I'm sure we'll have a great time.

We went to an E-ticket night last August and it was kind of crowded. (we went a littler earlier in august then we usually do) It was around the 19/20. Then, on about the 22, the parks became emptier than they were earlier that week, so you may get lucky and get the e-ticket night that we used to get when we went later in august....almost no lines. I hope you do, it so much fun when it takes longer to walk the ride's queue just to get to the ride then it does actually waiting in line.

It looks like e-night will be crowded. I think I will try to be in line for BTMRR when the E-night starts, as this may be our only chance to ride this trip. I am usually an early morning person and with fast pass, we seldom wait in line for long even during the Easter season. I'm hoping that the fact that the MK closes at 7pm doesn't make this even more crowded.
On the positive side it is a chance to enjoy the MK at night, and given the hours for the rest of our stay it looks like our only chance(I avoid MK on Sat). I also read that the ice cream parlor stay open late and my kids love that!
