I confess...I'm a RideMax guy, but one downfall of RideMax is it doesn't take park-hopping into account. Because we only have two days next trip I want to be as organized as possible for maximum experience.

Question: How does the runner hop from DL to DCA to get DCA fastpasses for the group? Does EVERYONE have to go through the DCA turnstiles the first time or will DCA scan all four tickets and just let me go through?

Once you go through one of the parks turnstiles on a day, all who went through get their tickets activated. Now one person can use those tickets to get FPs in both parks. You do not need to reactivate them for the other park.

Have fun!!

OK...so to confirm, my family will all have to leave DL and go through the DCA turnstiles the first time...after that I'm good to be a runner and go back and forth both days at DLR?

No. Your family has to go to ONE of the parks, and then your tickets are activated for both parks. So if everyone went to DL, one person could snag the tickets and go over to DCA and get FPs.

You only have to go to one park, but I am 99.9% sure you need to do this both days. Using your ticket the first day won't get you a FP the next day if the ticket hasn't been used at one of the parks. (So you can't run in and get FPs for everyone while the rest of the family is still eating breakfast and hasn't entered a park yet.)

I think everyone has made it clear, but let me try to summarize.

On each day, everyone needs to go through only ONE parks turnstiles, then their ticket is activated both both parks for that day ONLY.

For example, your whole family goes to DL, goes through the turnstiles. Now one person can turn right around and leave and go to CA, enter the park with just their ticket (obviously) and go get FPs for the whole family at Soarin, (or any other FP attraction), then go right back into DL and get everyone FPs for Space Mountain (or any other DL FP attraction).

The 2 parks machines are not tied together, therefore, no 2 hour wait, or waiting until the Soarin return time to get another FP at DL.

Hope it is clear for ya now!! Have fun!!

Thanks for the help, all.

New Question: We're using two-day park hoppers we won from Radio Disney. Do those come with a magic morning? I don't see anything on the ticket.

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be no. When you look at DL web site to purchase tickets, the 2 day hopper does not come with MM. Only the 3 - 6 day have that feature.

As a WDW vet, I have to say this is a great benefit! But I'm really wondering about Ridemax - we're only at DLR for 3 days and one of those is a Sunday. If ridemax excludes both park hopping (a significant part of our developing strategy) and Sundays, it's not sounding like a great deal for us. Thinking about just using these boards, Unofficial Guide and our WDW experience to come up with our own plan.
