This March, for the first time ever, we failed to get seating at Norway or Mexico for a spur of the moment meal, except for Teppanyaki we never used PS and always got seated without much of a wait. We'll be making ressies for our March 2007 trip soon, but I was wondering if there's a strategy for getting seated without one. I offered to go on a wait list at Norway but the CM was no help at all. I can't believe that ALL those with reservations show up, why wouldn't Disney slip in a couple on stand-by if a party missed their time by 15 mins or so? As it is, we'll be making ressies for all 10 days of our trip knowing full well we'll probably be using only 4. I'll cancel 24 hrs out, but if there is a viable alternative I'd rather not deny 6 other couples a seating on the days we won't be dining. Any ideas?

Wow Im suprised that you ever got into St Angel without a ADR! I tried a couple times in the past and finnally made an ADR. Maybe you can call DD the day before or the day of you want to go to a paticular restaurant and make a ADR if you dont want to make them before hand. There is an option on DD that says if you are in the Orlando area press "this" number. Other than that I wouldnt know about any other strategies.

EPCOT has that information room with all the menus (near Spaceship Earth) and they have a chalkboard listing what restaurants have openings and they can tell you what time. We walked in there at 5:00 and got a ressie for Mexico for 6:30... but this was October, not peak time.

Wow I never knew that! I do remember years ago when I went to Epcot with my dad there was a place in Innoventions i want to say that you could actually press something on a tv screen and speak to a rep and make reservations. wish they had that now..

Strategy? Bring cellphone. Call Disney Dining - tell them you are looking for an opening in Epcot. Ask what's available. Yes, you can make an ADR 5 minutes ahead of time.

Thanks for the info on the information room with all the menus, I didn't know about that. When it's just the two of us we like to go with the flow and would prefer not to be tied to a reservation. The funny thing about this March is that the one reservation we did manage to get on a day's notice was at Le Cellier, reportedly the most difficult to nail down.
