Strategies of what park to go to on what day...

I'm sure lots of us here have our strategies. I always like to go to the park that does NOT have the extra magic hour that day thinking that most people go to that park because they can get in an hour early. However…. we usually always go during busy times, when park hours are early to late. This November we are going during slower time and park hours are much later/earlier. So now I'm wondering if I need to change my thinking on which park to hit what day, as I do want the most hours in my day. Thoughts on this?

it all depends on how you value RSR in DCA . for Disneyland there is no strategy as "most People" is really not very many people, it just seems that way because we are confine to a small attraction space and choices. 3-5 day ticket holders are a minority in the overall gate attendance, but 3-5 day ticket holders line up for more attractions.

I see in your sig that you'll be staying at VGC, so you have access to EMH daily. I would make use of it, to get an extra hour out of it. We used to go in mid-May near Mothers Day (prior to the Tinkerbell half marathon being moved to that weekend), and had shorter park hours during the week. Even though I say go for it, the later start EMH's aren't as great. For example, we had days where the parks open at 10. There's a lot more people who can wake up and make it to a 9 AM EMH than to the 7AM EMH, KWIM? I love 7AM EMH's--early start, and then by lunch time, our family goes back to the hotel to nap & then late afternoon pool time, then dinner, then bed. (Thankfully we are all early risers). Although the gates or RD may seem crowded initially at EMH, it only gets more crowded once the park officially opens, so you might as well take advantage of that, right?

Right, that does make sense Cats2. I see our EMH's are 7am, 8am, 8am, 7am and 8am. Might as well jump on the early rising bandwagon. (not usually us) but the parks are only open until midnight two out of the five days we are there. We will adjust.

Thanks :) :)
