Straps for holding water bottles

You know those straps they sell at the parks that have a little rubber loop at the bottom that go around the mouth of your water bottle? Has anyone seen these things locally (of course without the Disney logos, etc.)? We have one from MGM that we bought a few years ago. I'd like to buy a few more so we each have one but I'd be happy for a plain one to save money. I don't even know where to begin looking for such a thing. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I also need a few of these!

you can get one free at the passporter site with an order, but I'm not sure if you can buy them, I just placed an order and one game free!

I bought one at Disneyland last year, so I looked at the plastic button on it, and it is manufactured by a company called Giacona Container (giacona.com). The product is called the LASO.

I tried searching for that in Google, but nothing came up beyond their own site.

They seem to produce them mostly as promo materials for places such as the Disney parks. Perhaps you could contact them and see if they sell them locally or have sold them to a zoo or amusement park in your area.

Wow, getbak, that's some good investigative work! Thanks everyone! I guess we'll just buy more once we get to Disneyland if we can't come up with something here since we're leaving in just over a week! Can't wait!

It has been a while back, but at one time we had a thread going about the strap thingies. As I recall, there was some mention then that these were available at Wal-Mart.

If you're going to Knott's or Universal while you're in California, I think they sell them for a buck or two cheaper than at DLR.

We got one free with a Passporter Guide purchase. But I was wondering, do people really like them? I was thinking that it would be uncomfortable having a bottle of water knocking around my neck all day. I've never used one and would like opinions.

I didn't think I would like the strap for the bottle but I do. It is long enough for me to put my arm through it and wear it on my side. Works well that way.

When bought ours, Sea World and Busch Garderns were much cheaper than Disney... Otherwise I think that they are $5 in the WDW parks.

Maggie: Most people wear them across their body like a bandolier (like Chewbacca in Star Wars, or an old Mexican gunfighter). You don't really have it hanging around your neck. The strap rests on your shoulder, and the bottle sits on your hip.

If you're like me and have a longer than average torso, the bottle rests a little higher than my hip, but on most people, it sits on the hip or a little lower. I wish they made longer ones for taller people, that would be my only complaint (that and the price that Disney charges for them).

Here's a picture of mine in action at the Grand Canyon.
