Strap Recommendations?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to see what would you all recommend for a new camera strap to use all the time? I currently have a Canon 20D (which is in dire need of a strap since my dog peed on the strap ) and I am going to upgrade it to a Canon 5D Mark III shortly. Between those two, which strap would you recommend? I hate the straps it comes with the cameras.

Thanks!

I never realized how bad the camera strap on my canon was until I got the Kata Reflex E. It's very comfortable and the two little pouches for extra memory cards is very nice.

Black rapid is very comfortable. My wife just got the one made for women and she loves her too!

I love my Crumpler Industry Disgrace. Very comfortable strap. And also great for this Florida weather. Unlike the Canon one that was horrible when dealing with sweat and heat.

I love my Crumpler Industry Disgrace. It's comfy, distributes weight well, breathes well and doesn't make my neck itchy. But straps are like everything else, what works for one person may not for another.

+1 here too for the Industry Disgrace. You may also want to check out the newer Convenient Disgrace, it's similar but with extra padding and quick release clips.

I have the Carry Speed strap which is just like the Black Rapid. I don't really like the weight hanging from my neck in the 100 degree weather.

Thank you for all the feedback!!! :) I am totally looking into all of those!! You all are so awesome!!

I have the black rapid and have been quite pleased with it once I learned how to adjust it properly. I can't stand things hanging from my neck and like how the black rapid lays across my body.

This is another thing I love about the Crumpler strap. I can wear it around my neck, arcoss my body or over my shoulder if I want. But then you can do that with a lot of straps.

Another vote for the Kata Reflex E - wonderful strap. For the most part, I think the Crumpler and Kata straps are very similar in that they use the same breathable stretchable neoprene type material, are wide, and are long enough to use for neck, shoulder, or sling style. I do like the Kata's quick release tabs and the two zippered pouches for storing extra small batteries or memory cards.

Pretty much any of these aftermarket strap systems are MUCH better than the stiff, uncomfortable, itchy junk they ship with the cameras!

Black Rapid! I own 3 of these straps. One for each camera body :goodvibes

The Black Rapid. I have two RS-4's with the Couple R straps to convert it to a two camera system, when need be. I purchased additional FastenR-3's for attachment to my tripod collars on my larger lenses.

I use the Optech Pro Strap. It cost less than the others mentioned but still does a good job of taking the strain off.

Ive never really considered upgrading my camera strap mainly b/c it stays (in a bit of a ghetto way) wrapped around my arm. It's pretty rare that I will place the camera around my neck.

But after reading this thread I may have to look into testing out the crumpler one.
