Strangest Misheard Lyric?

I pretty sure "Fly Like An Eagle" is not by Seal -- it's by The Steve Miller Band.

Seal remade the song. I like the Steve Miller version better.

I also wanna say GO EAGLES!!!

I never really understood the words to "La Bamba", so I'd just sing "La la la laaaa bamba!"

DS loved to sing Rudolph when he was little. His version included "you'll go down in his story" instead of "you'll go down in history".

I also heard "later on we'll perspire as we dream by the fire" in Winter Wonderland, instead of "later on we'll conspire as we dream by the fire". Still think my version makes more sense. :teeth:

"Count the head lice on the highway" instead of "count the headlights on the highway" from Tiny Dancer. Actually Elton John has a lot that I still can't understand.

Angie, when I first saw The Sound of Music I was puzzled by one of Maria's songs. She sang "and I'll sing once more" and being very young I took her literally. I found it very puzzling that she went on to sing MANY more times. Not actually a misunderstood lyric in the usual sense, but I sure didn't understand that she meant that it made her feel like singing again.

Also my mom thought More Than a Woman to Me was really "Bald Headed Woman to Lean On". My mother is the queen of misunderstood lyrics. She used to just sing the words that she knew and fill in all the gaps. Some were priceless.

My brother once sang a nursery rhyme about Fuzzy Wuzzy, but he got the name mixed up and tried to do ***** Wussy. It doesn't work.

DD thought that "I was only joking my dear" from a Rod Stewart song was: "I was only chokin' on my beer."

A friend thought that "how bizarre" was "help is on" I have now idea what she thought that meant! But now whenever we think something is strange we say "help is on."

you people have me cracking up!!! I will have to think about lyrics and post later:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Benny and the Jets
Lyric:
She's got electric boots, a mohair suit
Misunderstood Lyric:
She's Got Electric Boobs, her motor moves

You know that Britney Spears song from about a year ago where she had the big snake on her shoulders? "I'm a Slave for you" I think it was called. I kept thinking the chorus sounded like "kitty, kitty..kitty, kitty" but I didn't think that made sense. Anyone know what it is? I was thinking maybe "get it, get it".
