Ever since we got him, my DH's cat tries to eat my hair at night when I'm asleep. No matter what I do-push him away, or whatever- he tries to eat it again. What's so appealing about hair????

One of our poodles does that too. She doesn't try to swallow the hair, she just "munches" on it..lol

Our cat does that too. Probably because I don't kiss him anymore (see tag!!!)

If I lie on the floor he will come up and sit, and paw, then lick and chew my hair. I assume it's some sort of grooming thing, unless it's my shampoo. I know cats can be attracted to some beauty products, because of their ingredients (something to do with animal fats being used...sounds yukky!!)

One of my cats will lick any plastic she can find. If there is a plastic bag from the grocery store sitting on the floor she licks it. If I miss a cob web when cleaning and she spots it she'll eat. She is a loveable, beautiful cat, but she acts so strange sometimes. All my cats for no apparant reason sometimes will run around the house for a few minutes like their tails are on fire or like someone is chasing them. Cats sure can be entertaining. :rotfl:

Our cat licks the leftover water on the bottom of the bathtub after we take a shower. I'm not entirely sure why.She has an entire ceramic bowl FILLED with fresh, clean Brita water from the tap.

TOV

My cat HAS to be on my pillow even if I am sleeping on it. She will jump up on the bed and sit on my head if I dont move and allow her some pillow space ROFL!!!

Our cat does this too. I also found him sleeping in the kitchen sink yesterday afternoon. WEIRD!!!

Well, Ted will lick his paws for hours on end. I swear he's trying to lick the fur off. I think it's some kind of stress reducing thing, although what stress my dog has I have no idea!!!! I mean, how stressful can your life be when someone feeds you all day, you get treats on demand pretty much, and you get petted prety much constantly.

He's getitng kind of old now (11), so his biggest pasttime is snoozing...behind the recliner, under the coffee table, under the kitchen table... :dog2:

You may want to have Ted checked for allergies. Check to see if the skin between the toes are leaking/weeping.... sometimes caused by a skin allergy. It may warrent a trip to the Vet. Happened to my lab when she was about 2.

We actually have a sock elf at my house. He likes to steal all the uneaten socks.

Now you know why I love flipflops!

Every morning around 5am, my dog will wake up and pull the comforter off my bed and snuggle up in it. I actually feel her yanking it off of us.

So I gave her her own comforter, she sleeps on it all night, then at 5 she still pulls off mine.

My cats love boxes...and easter grass..and string.

We also have vegetarian cats...they don't eat meat.

Henry likes to hide and when some unsuspecting person walks past him, he'll leap out and jump up and tag the person with his paw then run off. :)

Our cocker spaniel did this. It turned out he was allergic to grass! Every time he went outside, he spent an hour afterwards licking his paws!

My dog takes a bite of food, walks around, spits it on the floor, then eats it off the floor.

Actually, we have had him checked for allergies. He is allergic to wheat, which is why we buy the $40 per bag wheat free food and $12 per bag wheat free dog cookies!!!! ;)

I have checked bewteen his toes, under his fur, on his skin...there is nothing...no rash, no redness, no weeping, not a cut, not a pricker, not a bump...nothing. He actually licks the tops of his paws and his legs. I truly think it's a relaxation thing....you know, a continuous motion that sends him into a "Zen" state.

He's a kooky little thing, but we love him!!!!!!! :dog2:

A cat I had when I was in my teens used to make guinea pig sounds and chase unknown things on the wall. Harley, my most recent cat, would only drink water from a glass for the longest time. He also thinks he is much bigger than he is and will run behind you trying to kick your feet out from under you like the big cats do to take down their prey.

My Japanese Chin does this too. He also likes to uncover anyone that is under a blanket on the couch. Especially if it it the other dog.

My cat has licked all of the fur off of her tummy. She has just peach fuzz there and then she does it all over again. She has the funniest looking tummy. The vets can't find anything wrong with her. No allergies or fleas or anything. He thinks it might be a bit of an obsession with her. But he doesn't think that it is bad enough to medicate her.
