I know it isn't really a disney question but I didn't know where else to post!!!!

We are travelling from the UK for christmas and plan to have our normal family full Christmas dinner on christmas eve at the villa.

Can anyone tell me if you can buy Christmas Crackers in the US?

Help Please..................:wave2:

I got some last year at both Target and Pier 1. I'm not sure if these stores are near WDW or not. Anybody know?

We get them every year. You can get them all over. This year I got them at Linens and Things, but you can get them in department stores and lots of other places. I don't know where you'd get them at WDW except perhaps Downtown Disney where they must be.

Lovely tradition, I too buy them every year. Last year I bought them at Williams Sonoma, but I have seen them in many stores. As the other posters stated I do not know if Disney has them (that would be great though, cute Disney ones!!LOL!!), so you may want to try to order them before, or if you have a car and the time you might be able to get them somewhere outside of Disney. The other day I saw some at Marshall's, a discount store here in the U.S.

Have a Wonderful Holiday and Happying Planning!!!!

Thanks for the info guys.

Christmas dinner just wouldn't be the same if we couldn't pull a cracker and wear a silly hat.princess:

We saw these locally at World Market Place and we were also wondering what exactly they are?
Do they "pop" when you pull them? Would it scare a young child or is it a lot of fun?

Christmas Crackers Fun???? I'm not sure fun is the right word but they a British tradition.

When you pull them they do emit a small bang but my kids have been pulling them since they were very very little and have never been frightened by the noise. On the contrary they can't wait to see whats inside and they still fight over any spare ones.

Inside a cracker - a paper hat (which we all wear at dinner princess: ) - a small toy or gift (keyrings, puzzles etc - not suitable for under 3's) and a joke (you have to laugh just because the jokes are so bad).

I know they don't sound very exciting but its just something us UK'ers do every year without fail.....

:teeth: :teeth:

This is a Christmas Cracker :)

They are an almost mandatory traditional table decoration for a British Xmas Dinner ;)

They do some very cute Disney ones over here which I am considering bringing over with me for Christmas dinner myself if I have room in my luggage! :)

The 'pop' when pulling a cracker is about the same (or less) as a cap going off in a cap gun. It's really not very loud and as Flojo said - children have been pulling them over here since they have been strong enough to do so (you have to give them a bit of a tug).
