I do not know whether this is a sytem glitch, whether the bungalows are being taken out of service for a period, or whether there really was a 1 1/2 day period in which the number of bungalow reservations made were astronomical, Here is what happened:
I have been watching reservations for the bungalows to see whether they were being filled by DVC reservations. What I found is that most days were remaining open until, and even well beyond, 60 days out when Disney can rent them. For example, all but one day in the last half of January 2016 was open at 60 days out. All of February 2016 except for 6 nights during Presidents' week was not only open at 60 days out but was still open as of January 31, 2016. I have been checking every few days and sometimes two.
During the evening of February 22, I did a check. Not much had changed. Last week of February was still open and March now had 10 days filled. April had two early and 10 in the middle of the month and the last 8 nights were open, May had five nights total missing, three for memorial Day weekend (it had been that way for over three weeks), June had two days filled in the second week, July 3 and 4 were gone and thereafter they were open for the rest of the year. On the morning of February 24, at about 9:30 eastern, I checked again, March was still mostly open. But everyday from April 23 to June 9 was shown as filled despite that only seven of those 48 nights were shown as filled only 1 1/2 days before. I have a hard time believing that DVC members made enough Poly bungalow reservations over a period of only 1 1/2 days to fill all those nights. Possible but not likely. So I guess what i am asking is whether anyone has learned something else, like the system has a glitch or they are taking a number of bungalowws out of service for that period.
