How big is the opening on the navigator's verandah?

My DH has finally agreed to a cruise, but with a few stipulations. It has to be a 7 day cruise (no complaints there ) & he has to have 2 exits from the room (he's claustrophobic). Which leads to the strange question. Is the opening on the Magic big enough for a larger person to fit through? Or should I just book a Cat. 6? Any advice or insight? Thanks!

The opening is at least 5 feet in diameter. If push came to shove, you'd have no problem getting through it. However, you'd be at least 5 decks above the water line, and it probably would not be very pleasant hitting the water...

Cute choice of words I agree with Lloyd it is a long way down regardless if you are on a navigators or regular veranda!
I guess it wold depend on how "large" the person is, on the magic the opening is not as large as on the wonder. there are pictures of the verandas at barb and tony's website.
