Now that we have booked and been assigned our planner I'm not really sure what to do next!!

Kathleen sent an email with lots of attachments but we haven't spoken to her yet and the forms say they don't need to be completed until eight weeks before the wedding. What do we do now? How to we arrange to speak to someone about floral, favours etc? What should we be doing at this stage?

You will do a planning session via phone to discuss the details of your big day :) I just gather my questions And ideas and if there is anything you immediately need an answer about then email your planner. Usually planning sessions are held at 6 months out but I'm not sure if that differs for the types of weddings whether wishes memories or escape. :) hth! I just gather my questions and ideas as I plan and when something comes up that I need an answer to asap I just email my planner. I have gone through the planning process three times now having changed our wedding from dcl to wishes and postponing wishes wedding once.

Sorry to hijack the thread but how long did it take to be assigned your planner - we were told our deposit had been received 2 weeks ago and we haven't heard anything since?

Also, YAY for November brides :lovestruc yours is the week after ours :wizard:

We received confirmation that our deposit had been taken and within a week Kathleen got in touch to introduce herself and send through a few documents. We haven't done anything more yet as we're not sure what happens next and haven't had anything in the post but our LOA has all been signed and agreed and we are booked in.

What are your plans? Be good to hear what another UK bride is up to...and at a similar time to us!!

hi were getting married in uk next september but are going wdw for honey moon. only thing im having problems with is were taking some freinds and family all of which have never been on a plane before and 2 of them have adhd. the youngest will b 21 and the oldest 30. if any one could give me any advice on how to cope on a 9 hour flight then the excitment when we get there that will b great as im now getting worried that it wont feel like a honeymoon but more like im a single mum of 4 boys

We signed and sent our LOA and Joe's assistant emailed to say that they have processed it, we haven't had our signed copy back yet. I don't suppose there is a huge rush as we don't go until 28th October.

We are booked for 10am at the Wedding Gazebo at the Yacht Club and we have a MK shoot the next day. We haven't added a reception as at the moment we haven't invited anyone and it is just the 2 of us :lovestruc

We're staying at OKW for 3 weeks and we've upgraded to the DxDDP so we'll probably go to Cali Grill on the day of the wedding :goodvibes

I think I saw yours is at the WP - have you got lots of guests coming? Are you doing a planning journal?

Hiya  I would just spend your time going through all the forms and start asking your planner questions - I didnt return mine until they were due, you have plenty of time there is no need to rush :)

Your planner will pass on your details to Disney Floral and they will set up a phone consultation for you with Rosie.

In the meantime you could arrange your officient, hair and make up, reception location?

Your planner will be doing all the running around not you - I found that I didnt need to do much planning at all with the escape package - fantastic!!
