Strange phone call

So some guy just called, told me his name and said 'I'm trying to get people to pray for me so can I just start telling you what's going on in my life.'

Well I said no and hung up...

Of course now I feel kinda bad. I mean what if this guy was trying to call a church or something and had the wrong number, then I hang up on him? He might think the church hung up on him.

or

What if he does a reverse look up and is mad that I wouldn't pray for him.

Now I'm totally freaked out!

Has anyone else had some call for prayers?

That was strange! I'd have the same thoughts you're having, but you can't be responsible for some stranger who calls like that.

It also could have been a prank call.

I'm sure the request for prayers would have quickly turned into a request for money. Probably a scam. You did the right thing.

Point taken, but I do think there is a little difference in asking a message board that you are an established member of for prayers and randomly calling a complete stranger.
