Strange Multiple Experience FastPass Behavior

Our party of four were on Indiana Jones recently when it broke down and we had to be escorted off of it. To compensate for the inconvenience, they scanned our tickets and gave us Multiple Experience FastPasses (FastPasses that work on any FastPass attraction), which they said would show up in the app shortly.

After awhile, Indy was back up, so we returned to use those Multiple Experience FastPasses there. At that point I noticed that there were only three of them in the app. I assumed that one of our tickets had failed to scan when they were issuing the FastPasses earlier. But I thought I could probably just explain it to the CM and maybe talk our way through. It turned out that the CM wasn't paying too close of attention anyway, so I scanned the three, and all four of us walked on.

Then I noticed that the three Multiple Experience FastPasses were still showing up in the app. I figured the system or the app just hadn't updated yet, and they would disappear soon enough. But after awhile, they were still there. I wasn't convinced that they would be valid, but we tried them (this time at at attraction that only three of us wanted to go on), and they worked!

And they were still showing up in the app! Except now there were only two of them. We didn't use those two, because there wasn't anything that only two of us wanted to do, and I had another (completely different) set of four Multiple Experience FastPasses that we got from another time that day when Indy was down when we had FastPasses for it.

When I went to use that second set of four Multiple Experience FastPasses, the same thing happened. We used them, and when I checked the app, three of them were still there (I know I got four green lights when I scanned them). That was the second time I scanned a group of Multiple Experience FastPasses, and only one of them disappeared from the app. We didn't get a chance to use those, as we still had other FastPasses and other things to do, too.

Was this just a fluke glitch? Is this a repeatable glitch? Or is this somehow how Multiple Experience FastPasses are supposed to work, and I'm missing something?

Mine did this the other day too... I'm not sure why. Ours were for TSMM and we just used it once as we had to leave but later that night they were still showing up as being there and valid.

this happened our last trip.
We got return times on our sons DAS, and a FP.. used the DAS on POTC all got scanned in via a cast member , and then walked over to do Space mountain.. when we went to scan our tickets at the wheelchair entrance, the CM said sons fp was there but it was saying that my husband and I weren't even in DL . well that's just not correct I told him. seeing that I was standing in front of him.. he checked the DAS return time and it was still available for POTC . So even though a CM scanned us in , and we went on a ride , we had to go back to the gate , rescan our cards and then try and get back onto SM before our FP window was up.. I know our tickets were scanned at the gate,, because the ticket machine showed our photos and the CM at the gate well and truly scanned them.

Something similar happened with our DAS return time last week. We had a return time for IASWH, scanned in and rode the ride, and later found that the return time stayed up and valid all night. We were tempted to try it again, just to see if it worked, but were too tired to hike all the way back to the ride.

PSA: To anyone who cares, please teach your kids not to hang around the FP scanners harassing people trying to scan a DAS return time. There was a family with a lot of young kids trying to scan FPs, and the bored youngsters were amusing themselves by blocking the other machines and yelling at anyone who scanned a DAS, "HEY, you are WRONG! You DON'T have a FP! The machine isn't supposed to be BLUE! You CAN"T go on the ride!!" We just ignored them since it was obvious they were just acting in total ignorance and boredom, as did the CMs (although I wish someone would have asked the mom to stop her kids from blocking all the machines and to stop harassing other guests). But I could see how this behavior could have upset other DAS guests who might be very sensitive to things like this.

It happens. We had the perpetual multiple experience passes for an entire day. Even when we told the person as we scanned that we didn't know if it was correct, they just smiled and waved us in. It did register as a legitimate FP---all day long.
