Went to breakfast with the Grinch this morning. Seated quickly. DD eats quickly and I don't eat much so we were finished in a few minutes. Grinch went by and his handler said he would be by shortly. We got skipped. No big deal. I asked our waitress for our check and asked her how much longer did she think until he would be back around. Suddenly we had a manager come over and was very concerned. So Grinch came over. Next another manager came and did realize he had come. They wanted to give us an escort to Cat in the Hat for FOTL. We already have it by staying onsite.

Had a problem with the charging to the room. Took a long time to resolve. Another person wanted to give us FOTL. I kept saying it was OK. As we were leaving a guy in entertainment flagged us down and wanted to give us FOTL. When telling him we already had, he asked if he could arrange a special meeting with Spiderman:rotfl2: We declined.

Thing is. I didn't even think I was complaining. I heard other people complaining they were passed up and don't think they got anything. What was up with that? Even my almost 13yo that always criticizes me said I didn't say anything. All I ask was how long it takes him to come around to see if we wanted to wait. I even told them we eat quickly so I understood.

Guess they are trying to get a good word out for the Grinch breakfast

I can understand how it feels strange, but at least they're trying to make sure everyone is happy....good reviews leading up to the big Harry Potter opening is crucial I think, so they're making sure they have their "A" game....however offering FOTL for hotel guests is redundant, they should first ask if you're staying on-property then offer something other than FOTL, bypassing that idea.

We took our two on Dec. 5th and thought it was the best character meal we'd ever had anywhere as far as the interaction went. The food itself was another story, but I expected that.

I might have taken the FOTL passes anyway and then played Santa to make someone else's trip or day...but that is just me...

I used to do that with the free passes I got for being a season pass holder at our local park...find someone to give them to.....

:hippie:

On my last trip to universal (2 years), I lost my keys and was a wreck at Customer service...the CM there gave me FOTL passes (unlimited) to make my trip better. I was floored. I finally found my keys and after I pulled my self together. We had an extra special time at US.....

It's nice that they want to make everyone's trip enjoyable......

I wish I had thought of that. We always do that with our Disney Fastpasses. Just gave away Toy Story Mania and RockinRollercoaster to a couple the other day.
