Straight To The Maxx hair straightening system

Has anyone tried this? I bought it, but I haven't gotten the courage to use it yet! LOL!! I have had the curly bouffant thing going since high school and I'm afraid of how I'll look!!

Let me know if anyone has tried it and if they had good results!

I've never done this personally - I my curls - but I occasionally lurk on the message boards at NaturallyCurly.com and I think I've read threads about it there. They're a great group of people, very helpful. If I recall, people didn't really like it - but you don't have to be a member of the boards to search, so you might want to check it out for yourself.

I love my curly hair, you just gotta tame it. I like to starighten my hair too, it breaks up the monotony. I have a straightener called Helen of Troy and I can straighten my curly hair in 20 minutes and it looks like my hair is naturally straight. I heard most people do not like the system you bought so try straighteners like mine first. Hope this helps

Discussion boards about curly hair?? Who knew?!! I think I'm going to have to check this out, having been curs...I mean "blessed" ...with curly CURLY hair.

Actually, I'm torn about my curly hair. When I first heard about that $100s thermal reconditioning hair straightening technique, I even considered getting a J-O-B to pay for it. But I honestly don't think straight hair would LOOK right on me. I'm going the "taming" route right now, with Frizz-Ease products, which helps.

BUT...I sure would love to know how it goes, Kristy, if you try it. I still can't help being intrigued by straightening products.

I have only had mine staright with luck once ... at Glamour Shots. The poor guy put all kinds of goop in my hair! LOL! But, it sure did look different. I just got a OUIDAD haircut, and I love it! They cut tghe curls in the middle of your hair .. like where the curl actually curls (lol- I know I am not explaining this well!) Not at the bottom of your hair. Anyways, apparently it is a new "system". It is much more moola than I usually spend but, it is super easy to style now and no frizz! Yippppeeeee Skippppeeee!
