Anyone done this? If any have, how long of a show is it, and when and where is it? Any suggestions on where to sit to be picked for the show? Thanks :wizard:

This is our favorite thing at WDW!!!

Last time we were there - Julia was picked - we sit on the front wall on the right side - then you are first in line for the meet and greet and in the line of where the girls walk to pick out kids - I would always sit along that walkway - they don't really go in the middle to pick anyone out

when the girls walked out - I told Julia to say Hi to them - and she did - I then told her to make sure when Belle came out and got to the front of the stage - right as she is putting her book down to yell Hi to Belle - she did - they like interaction in the show - so I encouraged her to participate -

she was picked to be Chip in the show and we talked to the girls afterwards and they told us - the second they saw her and how outgoing she was - they knew she was their Chip

ETA: I just realized - you will have boys with you - she usually does pick them from the middle section - there is not an overwhelming number of boys in there so if they yell Hi to her - she will definately notice them and be more likely to pick them

I have been on my child's birthday and she was not pick - so that is not always true

We have done it 3 times. If you are looking at the castle, there is a walkway down the side to the right. Down this walkway you will find a very SMALL area called the garden. There are some stone benches, maybe 8 or so. It is in here where Belle will tell her story. It lasts maybe 20 min. It is adorable. She will take 3 or 4 kids on stage. If there is a bday child she always takes them. Then they dress in a little costume and tell her story. It was difficult to find the 1st time and only about 40-50 people can fit in the area. It is usually empty until it starts and passers-by notice something is going on. You only have to get there like 10 min. early. Afterwards she has everyone line up for autographs and pics. It is very sweet and not rushed. Definately worth going. It will give you a much needed rest.

Thanks for the advice on where to sit J&N mom (I'm hoping the character name shirts help in getting them noticed BTW) My DS5 is very outgoing, so I'm sure he will "participate" if I tell him he may get to go onstage. Man, and I had thought about NOT bringing the camcorder, now I may have to reconsider. Oh, and where is Cinderbrellration (sp?), in front of the castle?

Storytime with Belle is great. When we went to Disneyland in January 2001 it took place in a shop and was different. Belle and a male CM came out and she told her story with the male CM taking ALL the other parts-- Lumiere, the Beast, the horse. It was really funny. Has anyone else experienced this?

As fun as it is for the kids to get picked, it's even MORE fun for them if you can talk dh into volunteering to be beast. The men, of course, don't want to get dressed in a goofy beast costume so if your dh volunteers, he more than likely will get to do it. My girls LOVED that. They sat on the wall eating fries watching Daddy be beast.

We sat on the left in the second row and both girls were picked DD4= Cogsworth and DD almost 2 + CHIP sooooo cute and they loved it! This was 1st thing we did at their 1st trip ever and Emma was completely in awe of her idol Belle- trip was complete we could not ask for anything else! :Pinkbounc

We were in the front row on the right side and both of my daughters were picked to be in the show. One was clogsworth and the other was chip. They had a great time!

We went and it seemed that all the kids were picked from the middle section. I don't think there is really any rhyme or reason from where the kids are picked. :)
It was very cute. My DD liked it. And we got to meet Belle afterwards and it really didn't matter where you sat to meet her. Everyone got to meet her.

We did this and it was so fun, my daughter and I were sitting in the middle and she was chosen to be Mrs. Potts, unfortunately the sky turned dark and Belle didn't stay for photos. Great fun.

Solgent, we haven't seen the Storytelling with Belle at Disneyland, but we have seen Cinderella, the man who accompanies her and plays all the other characters really steals the show!
