Storytime with Belle

On previous trips I hadn't given this "attraction" much thought. . . . but after several recommendations from this board I decided to swing by this trip. And I am SO VERY happy we did!

My son got picked for Gaston. (it must have been the haircut)

AND my husband made the perfect beast! (She must have seen how he'd been behaving that day!)

So, thanks for the advice! This will definitely be added to the "must" list!

I had actually kind of forgotten about the storytime for this trip....hopefully we'll be able to catch it while we're there!

How cool is that! Isn't it a great little thing to do? We did it in Oct and DD was Mrs Potts.

We were tickled to see her get to do that.

It was especially funny that both of them got picked when Belle was telling the part where beast and Gaston fight for Belle. . . and my husband and son were play fighting as only son and father can. . . . and I don't think Belle had any idea that they were father and son. . . so she jokingly was like "ok boys, break it off" It was great fun.

We were there in January and my son was also chosen to be Gaston. He has said that someday he wants to be a Disney Character at WDW and I told him this was his first day as one!

A couple of years ago my DH was picked to play the Beast. The next day while we were at AK, we were walking out of Tarzan Rocks and someone yelled out "Hey - there's the Beast from yesterday at MK!!!

If there is anyway. . . could you tell this wonderful princess thank you for us! We gave her one of the Thank you cards I had made before the trip, but have been tempted to also write the company.
It was a rainy, muggy, yucky day that day but she acted like it was just a wonderful, shiny day, high spirits and all. So, it really perked things up for us. My son is soooo shy too, and this made him feel so special.

We too had people recognize us through our stay. "Hey, it's mighty Gaston" and the like, my son still talks about how strong he is. Shows everyone his muscles, lol.
