There is another thread with current opinions on Goofy's Kitchen.

For our trip in March, I'm trying to decide if we should add Story Teller's to the list. It's nice to have current opinions on the Character Breakfasts.

The grandkids and I had a blast at Minnie and friends last March. We liked the food and food choices. From what I have read, Minnie and Friends hasn't changed in the last year. So we will add this one to our next trip.

If you have been to a Story Teller's Character Breakfast lately, what are you opinions on:
Service
Characters
Food

Thanks

DD and I tried Storyteller's Cafe back in November. We saw Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear, Meeko from Pocahontas and Chip & Dale. They would get the kids up to march around the restaurant to a song (can't remember what song). We had a great waiter who provided excellent service. Food was scrambled eggs (you can also request how you want your eggs done), bacon, sausage, pastries, fruit, yogurt etc. We had a 10:30 am reservation and didn't feel rush to finish our food. We quite enjoy this breakfast and would probably do it again in July! :) We have been to Goofy's, Surf's Up but haven't tried Minnie & Friends.

We stayed at the VGC and went to Story Tellers one morning before the parks opened. We love doing the resort character breakfasts before the parks open to extend the magic, if you will.

The restaurant was fine. We'd do it again on our next trip if there is a late first park opening. Otherwise, we'd skip it and do a quick breakfast at White Water Snacks.

Storytellers and Surf's Up Mickey tie for us for favorite character breakfast... Both seem so much less chaotic then Minnie and Goofy's (even at Surf's up with Stitch running loose!)... the food was better than Minnie's IMO, and we've always had good service in both.

We love both Storyteller's Cafe and Surf's Up.. We lean more toward Surf's Up only because our God Son (4 years old) absolutely LOVES the fab 5 and we had the best character interactions there. He danced with Daisy Duck and Stitch, and surfed with Mickey. I agree with PP that both are way less hectic than Goofy's Kitchen and the characters give more time to your kids.

I have also been to Storytellers for breakfast and I was thrilled! The food was good, the character interaction was superb and the service was great! When I go back later this year, it is on my reservation list.

Some of the characters that you do get to see that you don't normally see are all the woodland creatures. For example the creatures (I forgot their names) from Pocahantas. The bird, the dog and the racoon.

We just ate at Storyteller's at the beginning of January. I was not impressed. We saw Chip & Dale (again), Meeko, and Koda. Kenai was there but never came over to our area. Each of the four characters that visited us came over once, basically patted my daughter in the head, posed for a photo and moved on. We got none of the fun and goofing around we get at Surf's Up.

The food was the same as can be found at the other character meals. I was just very disappointed in the lackluster character interaction. Maybe that explains why the place was only about half full.
