We will have a few days before the cruise to explore Vancouver. After we disembark, our flight is not until 6pm. I've got 2 teenaged girls who are huge Once Upon at Time fans and would like to visit Steveston. So I have a few questions since I've never been to Vancouver before:

(1) Is there time to get to Steveston, explore the town, and get to the airport by around 3pm for our 6pm flight? I have no sense of how far the town is from the cruise terminal and from the airport.

(2) Any suggestions on what to do with our luggage? I thought I read something about a service at Canada Place where they will deliver your luggage to the airport for you to pick up later, but now I can't remember where I read it.

(3) What's the best way to get to Steveston and then to the airport? Should we just rent a car? There are 6 of us with 2 weeks of luggage.

(4) Anyone have recommendations for what to see in Steveston while we're there?

Thanks for the help!

Laurie

Our cruise started in Vancouver and ended in Seattle, and we had a similar situation, with a late flight, I know at the cruise terminal in Seattle we left our luggage there with a tag for $3 a bag, which allowed us to sightsee for 4 or 5 hours before our flight

Our trip from the airport to the cruise terminal took less than 30 min (if I remember correctly) on the skytram, and was so easy to use (and clean!)

But I have no idea about Steveston, Vancouver to me was gorgeous and I cant wait to do another Alaska Cruise so I can go back to Vancouver to explore!

Rent a car to go to Steveston, transit will take FOREVER. Down on the waterfront have fish and chips at Pajos - inexpensive and so very good. Portions are huge!!

Can't answer about the luggage, I live here so don't have that issue, but someone else I'm sure can answer it. Steveston is in Richmond, same as the airport, so it will take you less than 30 minutes to get from there to the airport. Will take you about 45 minutes to get from the port/terminal to Steveston.

1) Lots of time to explore Steveston, even if you get the late breakfast. You might even be able to cram in a few attractions or an Orca whale watch.
2) CDS luggage will transfer your luggage to the airport location for $40 (max 4 bags). Double check they will be able to do it in time for your flight. CDS is located next to the car rentals at the cruise terminal.
3) It's about an hour by subway/bus from downtown to Storybrooke. Car is about 45 minutes. Another hour to return from Storybrooke to the airport. This gives you 4 or 5 hours in Steveston/Storybrooke.
