Well heres a picture of a scene from the storybook ride, obviously the little sign that says what it is, is in french so i dont have a clue. :sad2:

Can anyone help me? :wave2:

I have not been on this ride yet, always been closed on our visits.

really? ive searched the net about and cant find any info or anything linking it to Disney. Thats not me saying i dont believe you by the way. :thumbsup2

* warning geek alert ahead *

Casey Jr Circus Train is one of my abosolute favourite rides ever from DL, and the Storybookland Canal boats rank right up there.

However, rumour has it that both are closed in Paris during off season, correct? will they be open late Nov/early Dec, do you think??

Apparently they closed were last year, but when we were there in Decembers '99 and '02 they were definitely open. Seems to be a new cost cutting measurement, which is a shame.

Thanks - that is what I feared. Believe it or not, it was part of my trip scheduling decision. However, I can always enjoy the version at DL in CA as it seems to be open year round (or at least, has been whenever I visit)

It just sounds like the DLRP version is better than the one in CA!

(and thanks to both of you for not mocking my geekiness! :rotfl: )

Glad to hear it!!! ;) Fantasia and Chernabog - who is at the top of the tower in your photo.

Good to "see" you again bavaria. :)

We don't mock that here - we worship it!!! :teeth:

:wave2: Glad to be back! Actually I crossed the pond last week but didn't get to DLRP, so still planning for later this year...... And yes, I do feel that geekiness is most accepted on the DLRP board!!!

ok, back to your regularly scheduled discussion about Storybookland Canal boats!

I know that at least the Storybook Ride has been closed in the fall and the winter since a couple of years due to safety reasons. The moving "platform" where you embark and disembark the boats can get very slippery in the colder months.

That does make sense. But why would they close Casey Jr? :sad2:

Casey jr was open in December 2005 on our last trip though on the map it said it was closed. we went on it 3x in a row as dd loved it.

That the DLRP is the most warm, accepting board I have encountered on this site.... ;) Hey, I am proud to declare my geekiness!

I agree, I could see the slipperiness of the dock being a concern; I believe that a few years ago a young boy had a serious accident in DL on the canal boats. But I also fail to see how it relates to the Circus train.

Good to know that the train WAS running (and that I am not the only fan - in California I am usually the only childless adult in a sea of 2 year olds.... :guilty: )

That's great news - and hope for the future :thumbsup2 It's a great little ride - not too scary for children, but still enjoyable for the adults accompanying them.... or not!!! ;)
