Storybook predictions

I agree. Artist Point was the only signature that I consistently liked a lot. In general I'm also a big fan of character dining, but I really don't like what's happened to the appetizers and desserts at Storybook. I was able to substitute and get the kids' appetizer, which was good, and the squash soup they used to have was also nice, but the standard adult appetizers now on the menu are all things I wouldn't eat. If they had merely added characters and kept the great menu from the fine dining version of Artist Point, that would have been fine with me, but sorry, that spongecake dessert with fruity pebbles is icky IMHO. If they change the appetizers and desserts to items I find more palatable, I'd be glad to give it another try sometime.
Yes, I'm really worried about this. My SIL loves the Dwarfs, though, but the menu looks iffy to me.

The prices charged to guests still seemed plenty high. My actual experience was that the entree tasted the same. I am not jumping to any conclusions about why it tasted the same; only reporting on how I perceived my meal, and that the server told me they kept the same chef from before the changeover.

I think it's sad that discussion about this restaurant seems to be resulting in some people getting upset with each other. There are various points of view, and I hope we can all get along and not make this personal.
I hope you don't think I had a problem with what you posted. I didn't. I was simply saying this restaurant has a similar price point to the other character meals. I wouldn't expect them to use the same quality of food they used at AP. It's great that they kept the same chef. He/she would be able to work with what they have & create a meal as close to the original as possible. My point is people shouldn't go there expecting a signature quality meal. They may be disappointed.

Regarding price point, it was about the same as what I paid there when it was a signature. (I usually ordered the tofu or chicken entree there; others' experiences may have been different if they got the pricier entrees). Regarding food quality, I found the chicken entree and side of roasted potatoes to be identical as far as I could tell, before and after the changeover. I am also glad they kept the same chef. What disappointed me were most of the new standard appetizers and desserts, and that there is no bread included with the meal anymore. I actually did like the kids' appetizer at Storybook, and I appreciated that they let me substitute it, but I would have also liked an option for an appetizer salad and some less kid-oriented desserts. Hoping those could be added in the future.
