I'll be at the BC (first time!!) in two weeks for the Lotusphere conference. Hope to get in some pool time at SB. I presume it's heated? What are the pool crowds like in late January?

The pool crowd isn't bad at all in late January.

This will be our 4th stay at YC/BC for the Lotusphere conference. We had one year that despite the pool being heated, the air outside was just too cold for us to enjoy it. The other two years were pretty good pool weather. We do have small children though, so their comfort was a factor.

I think if the warmer weather holds up like it has been it should be fine!! Enjoy!!!

We were there a few weeks ago (awesome choice, btw), and DS had a blast, even though it was a tad chilly outdoors.

Just FYI...When we were there, a section of the pool (deepest part), was being renovated. Not sure if it's all done with, but even with that going on, there's plenty of pool still.

All of the Disney pools (with the exception of Ft. Wilderness) are heated for your comfort and year round usage.

Even the water parks have heated water to keep it at a comfortable temperature. You should have some nice days to enjoy the pool.

During our recent visit to the Yacht Club, the lifeguard we spoke with said the pool was constantly kept at 85 degrees during the winter months. Yes, there were kids swimming, but the lifeguards were sitting on their chairs in parkas! Hope this helps!

Can anyone who's been to YC in the last week or so comment on the state of the SAB rehab? We leave Wednesday and would like to set expectations for my kids. The big slide is supposed to be closed with the lazy river still open.

It is except for last New Year's (2003-2004) when the pool heater was broken. I was told it was going to take engineering a few days to get to it. Not a good answer when someone is only there for a few days.
