Stormalong Bay at BCV (?)

Going in May..I heard that Stormalong Bay closes early in the evening, thats funny because all the other DVC. and non DVC resort pools are always open. Do any of my fellow DVCers have the facts Thanx ahead-

It is true that SAB closes earlier than other resorts (I want to say 8:00, but not entirely sure). The quiet pool is still open for use after that time, though.

ALL DVC and WDW resort pools have a closing time. SAB is no exception. The only difference is that because of the popularity of SAB that pool is gated.

I'd recommend the quiet pool for a late night swim.

In our experience the closing time of SAB varies.

Shorter hours in the winter (not May obviously) and during less busy times (usually May).

Because of its nature, SAB requires lifeguards and a number of them at that which accounts for the variance in hours.

I think lifeguards is the major reason. But last Oct we stayed in the quiet pool until midnight I think and there weren't many people there, mostly adults.

My recollection is also that it closes at 8pm.
