i'm not sure if i have it right-is that what it's called?and what is it?it seems to be popular and restrictive to guests.can someone fill me in where and what value it has?thanks

storm along bay is the main pool at the Yacht and Beach club resorts. Actually, some refer to it as a "mini" water park. There is a long slide in one section, sand bottom pool section, and a "lazy river" section, which is so relaxing. Only hotel or DVC guests of YC and BC can use this pool. It is a beautiful pool, lots of fun!!

Stormalong Bay is the pool complex at the YC/BC/BCV. It is by far the nicest resort pool on property and is described by some as a mini water park. It's a 3 acre, sprawling pool that has several different sections including a sandy-bottom beach area, lazy river section, tidal whirlpool, secluded grottos, and a very cool shipwreck slide that travels across the main walkway between the resorts and the lake. It can only be used by guests at the YC/BC/BCV. There are no pool-hopping privileges here. As an owner at BCV, this is definitely one of the unique benefits of owning at that property.

There are probably a ton of places that you can see pics of SAB, but this is definitely one of my favorites:

Tagrel's website also contains tons of good information and pics of DVC properties and WDW attractions.

i've got one word to say ...WOW!great link chad!obviously the only way to get in there is resale.but which one?i don't understand all the short forms so are the resorts:yacht club beachclub and beachclub villas?what's the diff between beach club and beach club villas?

Beach Club and Yacht Club are side-by-side resorts that are not DVC properties - just regular deluxe hotels. Beach Club Villas were just opened last year next to the Beach Club, and this is a DVC property with studios, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units. Staying at BCV allows you privileges at the Beach Club and Yacht Club pool, restaurants, etc.

So, yes, to buy into BCV through DVC, it does require buying resale. Others can point you in that direction, as I bought in BCV through Disney direct.

Daddiojiggy:

You can make ressies at the Beach Club Villas by using your points at the 7 month window, if there is availability. But if you're ready to add points and want to take advantage of Stormalong Bay, then purchasing additional points at BCV would probably be the best option for you since the pool is closed to guests of other resorts.

Thanks for the kinds words about my site Chadm! :o

I love taking pictures of the various DVC resorts and hope to someday have a 'complete' set! :teeth: So many great resorts, SO few points! ;)

daddiojiggy - We love SAB and YC/BC/BCV! The location is wonderful and the pool is the best on property. Are you already a DVC member daddiojiggy? I think you can get on a waitlist to add on at BCV directly through Disney, or watch the various resale boards for BCV resales. Only problem is, that with both the popularity of BCV and the lack of resales there - it could be a while. One thought is to contact the resale agents directly and ask them to contact you when BCV points come available.

Good Luck!
