Thinking for renting from a DVC member this year. Are they still allowed swimming privileges at the Beach Club?

we've got 2 year old twins, a 4 yo and 6 yo....is sab easy to get to from the villas?
we stayed at the yacht with the 2 oldest last year and the pool was a BIT FAR from our room...but I think we need the room in the 2 BR villa with all 4 along and a nanny.

Any suggestions as to location in the villas as to closeness to SAB?

I'd say it's about a 5-8 minute walk without kiddies, perhaps a few minutes longer with kids, from the far side of the villas building. I was just saying on another thread that it appears to me that many of the YC rooms would be a longer walk to SAB than from BCV.

We stayed in room 559 (a studio) at BCV in Sept. It was very convenient to the quiet pool but a bit longer to the main part of BC. It didn't bother us at all (it was very quiet and we had a great view of Epcot!), but you might like to be closer to everything for your kids.

The great thing about BCV is that nothing is too far away, unlike at some of the other DVC properties. We stayed at BWV last year, and it could be quite a hike to get places if you weren't at least somewhat near an elevator. I find BCV much more manageable -- and preferable for people with little kids.

Have a great trip,
Sarah

Technically, when you pay a member cash to rent points, you are not entitled to the DVC Member perks like pool hopping (when and where it is allowed). If a member makes a gift of the points, then you may be entitled to the DVC perks.

Dermommy, You may want to request 1st floor near the BCV's quiet pool. You can walk thru the pool area to get to SAB, this shortens your walk a little. You may also want to take advantage and use the quiet pool. It is usually not crowded (easier to keep track of little ones) and it also has a hot tub(would be nice for use at nite-while children sleep under Nanny supervision) Just my thoughts. We stayed at the BCV last summer(had a Top floor room with view of Illuminations-we loved it! Others have posted they do not like facing the back road). It was a long walk for us but my children are older. We made good use of SAB during the day but really enjoyed the quiet pool and hot tub at nite.Any more ??'s just ask! Joan:smooth:
