storing stuff at the resort

we will be staying one night at the pop before we go on a week long cruise. after the cruise we are back to the pop for 7 days.
my question is, as we will have a rental car for the first leg of our trip but not for the return to the resort, can i pick up some snacks and water and have this left at the resort for when we return? i know i can ship stuff down and they will keep it till we get there but wondering if this senerio works as well.
