Storing kitchen plastics in attic?

I have a container full of old plastic cups, Rubbermaid food storage containers for the microwave and plastic bowls. Do you think it is safe to use them if they have been stored in the attic for 2 years? Would the long months of extreme heat and cold make them unusable?

If they are designed to be microwaved, I sure can't see how them being the attic would be an issue.

It's not the heat, it's the cold. You'll probably find that they will crack easily in the freezer. Temperature extremes make plastics brittle in cold, whereas they soften a bit in heat.
