Hello all! We're headed back for a repeat trip and are totally looking forward to finally having warm enough weather to take in splash mtn and kali river rapids!! However, I am equally (or more) excited to finally have a good camera to document our vacation - a nikon 3200 dslr. But now that I have this new toy I don't know where I should store it for safe keeping on these wet rides.....

Kali River Rapids now has free (well, free for up to two hours) electronic lockers. I've always just had my camera (although not a DSLR) in my backpack at Splash Mountain with no problem (I've never gotten anywhere near as wet on SM as you can get on KRR), but I think a gallon-sized Ziploc bag would be big enough for extra protection.

We always have a dry sack with us to throw any electronics in should it begin to rain, on wet rides, etc. You can get them at camping stores, they fold up pretty small, and can be tucked in your camera bag pocket. (Ours is big enough to put the whole camera bag into, plus our phones and EpiPens.)

Thanks for the tips! I now realize there's a photography board - would be a better spot to post :) I like the idea of the camp sack - affordable and lightweight!!!

I have a plastic bag in my camera bag that I put my camera in and then put it back in the camera bag and then put it in the middle ring in Kali River Rapids. I also used this for a complete downpour and the camera stayed safe and dry.

I'm OCD. I put cameras & cell phones in baggies and put them in my backpack. I put the entire backpack in a waterproof camping sack (bought a pack of 3 at Walmart).

It is those. This is the backpack we had with a list of what was in it. It actually all fit down in the largest bag.

I bought these at dollar tree. (won't let me copy link to post it here, go to dollar tree web site and in search put storage bags the ones they are showing now is called stor [it].)
They would also work good for storing bags in for wet rides or rainy days. The ones I bought is a different brand name... The home store, heavy duty storage bags. They are very heavy duty big zip locks with a handle to carry them with. Large is 15 in x 15 in. They also come in XL and XXL I have no idea what size the others are as I only bought a pack of large. 3 in the pack for $1 i'm buying more and in different sizes when i go back. They fold up nice and small would be easy to store in your bag when not using.
