Store in MGM with movie memorabilia?

I very vaguely remember back on my first trip in 1996 there being a store inside the entrance to MGM that sold old movie props, costumes, and autographs. I BELIEVE it was called Sid Cahounas or something like that, and it offered real-deal "this was used in this movie" items, including a whole rack of movie costumes. They even had one of Luke's outfits from Empire Strikes Back! I don't remember seeing this store when I was there last, or if it was still there, it didn't have the same stock or it would have jumped out at me. Does anyone know if I missed it, did it relocate, or is it just not there any more or not carrying the same things?

As you enter MGM, it's to your immediate left. One of a kind items galore. Very unique and can be very pricey. It's a great store to look around in. I'm always amazed by how tiny actors/actresses must be in real life....their costumes never look full-sized!

Oh, thank you! That's just where i remember it too, but when I was there last I went into what I THOUGHT was the store and the floor selling area was completely empty and all they had was some photos for sale on the walls. I must have hit it during a refurb or something.



Now to just convince the hubby that bringing an extra $2000 for an actual something from a movie is really worth it. Seriously, it is. *shiftyeyes*

It's called Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind, and if you see something you want GET IT! Stuff goes like crazy in there...posters, especially.
