Stopping about 2 hours away from Port Canaveral Question

We are driving down to FL from NC in March for a 3 night cruise. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a good stopping point that would be about 2 to 2 & 1/2 hours away from Port Canaveral? I'm really not sure that we'll be able to drive straight through as we will not be able to leave until mid afternoon the day before our cruise so I would like to know where would be a good place to stay overnight but don't want to have a lot of driving to do the next morning to get to the Port. South of Jacksonville near Palm Coast or St. Augustine is about that distance away.
