Stop Me From Checking My Waitlist

So, here's the deal. We're on a waitlist for a 2 Bedroom at VWL for Jan 1-2. We've already got our 2 BR at VWL for Jan 3-8. We're 65 days out and I feel compelled to check the DVC website everyday to see of the waitlist comes through. And logically, I don't really need to. If it comes through I don't really need to do anything else right away. But, I just can't stop myself from constantly checking (sometimes I'll check twice a day). Am I crazy? Please tell me other people do that?

And here's what's worse. I happened to check and see if there were any cash 2Bedrooms available at VWL for those nights. For the longest time, there weren't any. But this week, there are. Which makes me want my waitlist to come through even more. And I absolutely know that there is no connection between CRO inventory and DVC inventory. I know "technically" a member is "using" that room that's available for cash, they're just somewhere else and that's how it gets paid for. Despite "knowing" all that, I still am going crazy over the waitlist.

OK. I think I actually feel better unloading that.

Sometimes I would leave the DVC site open on my laptop and hit "refresh" on it every few hours! You're not alone!

And I've had 2 waitlists so far (BWV during F&W and BCV during Christmas week) and they both came through, so think positive!

I think we have all been wait list checkers at one time or another. It would be nice if they could give you an idea of where you were on the list. Okay you are number 5 waiting for a two bedroom, etc.

I too feel compelled to check the waitlist and found today that the 2 bedroom at SSR for Jan 1 - 2 came through yesterday. We had a ressie at SSR for Dec 30th - Jan 1st then moving to BCV until 2nd and then back to SSR till 6th. Hooray! No room moves for us. Keep the faith - so far in 8 years our waitlist has ALWAYS come through and I am sure yours will too.

It's not even for me, but for DSis, and I check every day to see if her Savannah view has come through! This is for May, Kidanni. I just had a friend call and accept an invitation for the same night, here's hoping I can get them into Kidani as well...savannah or standard studio, we hope they can get in.

We're going Jan. 28-Feb.1 and are waitlisted for a studio on the 29th. That's the only night we need. I check the website AND call all the time!! I'm waiting for one of the MS reps to tell me to stop calling!

We are waitlisted for Nov 13th at BCV. I check a few times a day and still
no luck. We are only 14 days out.

How ironic.
I just checked my wait list before coming over here to this forum.

I like the refresh every couple of hours idea.
If I do that 8 hours a day that's about 5 times a day
from now until April 19 which means checking about 680 refreshes -- or fewer if the wait list comes through.

Or should I get a life?

Do any of you think that by calling member services every day or multiple times a day helps, it just costs us all more money and more than likely annoys the heck out of the castmembers answering those calls.

I highly doubt that us calling to check availability makes our dues go up. And furthermore, I've had NO problem getting through. That's what they get paid to do. It's their job!
