So we're here at the Boardwalk now, and have been using valet parking. Tomorrow, we're going to the GF for dinner. Do we have to pay another $20 for valet there?:car: Man, I liked things so much better when DVC members could valet for free...

Not sure about the answer to your parking. But are they making you use valet parking? We go in Septemeber and was told we could park our own car. ( we won't let them valet park our car)
Got an email from the GM confirming we can self park. Just curious thanks.

Hope someone can answer your question.

Ask for a receipt. You only have to pay for valet once a day. You can show the receipt at any valet to park.

Yea, ask for a receipt, or tell them where you're staying as your name is in their system (that's what I was told last week in June when staying at YC and traveling to other resort for dinner).

i have never had to valet our car at any of the resorts we have stayed at. We have always just parked the car. When we would drive to another hotel for a dinning reservation we would just tell them where we were eating at, and have never had a problem.

I enjoy valet parking! It's a little vacation luxury. Enjoyed it for free (not including tips) many years at WDW, and still find it worthwhile at $20 a day. I also use it at DD and it's worth every penny in saved time.

Thanks for the feedback. We valet by choice.

Valet parking is per day and thire day rolls over sometime during the early hours of the morning so you will be charged today at the BW and then again tomorrow at the GF. If you have breakfast at a resort and pay for valet at that time, hold onto your receipt and you will not have to pay again that same evening.

Welcome to the new Disney. Squeezing every penny they can from anything possible.

We also never paid to park at other resorts. We tell them why we're there (food or just checking out the resort) and we park the car.

Some of the deluxe resorts have a sign up at times, and there has been wording on dvc member website, maybe other Disney websites, saying parking is restricted to resort guests and those with dinner reservations, strongly encouraging to use Disney transportation (to visit other resorts). If general parking to visit isn't being allowed valet parking may still be allowed if there is room. Valet parking cost $20 a day for a good number of years now.

We valet by choice.

I see that you are valeting on purpose and by choice. When you go to the other resort you'll have something to show that you're already paying at the other resort for valet. And you'll be able to valet there without paying again on the same day.

I just stayed for 3 weeks. The daily valet charges were charged to my room. I had nothing to show other resorts I visited, as I previously stated, I was told to give my name and where I was staying, and it worked perfectly. The only receipts I received were for valet at DD which was separate from the resorts. But who knows, maybe tomorrow they'll start giving receipts or the Mickey tags again.

Quick update: The guy at the GF was on the ball. When he noticed the parking sheet on our windshield, he asked, "Did you valet earlier at the Board Walk?" And when I said yes, he noted it and we weren't charged. No big whoop. But thanks for clearing that up, folks!
