Stoopid Fantasmic Murphy Question

OK..so we got to see Murphy twice on recent visit..very cool! But, on second visit, the one with freind instead of family, we watch the show and she says
" What's the big deal? What's different..F! ALWAYS had a big dragon that shot fire out of its mouth to light the river on fire." So, now I'm fuzzy...what was the old dragon like in comparison with the new??

Yes, there has always been a fire breathing dragon...
the old dragon was like a "jack in the box figure"
Big slinky with cloth neck and big head.
the new dragon obviously has a complete body and has some great effects.
The old dragon was basically a long neck with silk/nylon skin...
from the video I have seen the new one is very "life like" the old one was more of an overgrown puppet.

AHA!! I thought it looked bigger and meaner and more complete..but thanks for clarifying..so I will tell friend that old dragon was Dragon in the box and Murphy is realer..it was quite impressive, but couldn't remember the old one to compare..(and I still miss the Ursula float)

Not a stoopid question at all. I have never really seen the dragon up close because I have always had BAD seating! I had to ask my husband what the difference was myself. We are going in Nov and I am going to get PS for F! I can't wait to see the new dragon, MURPHY!!!
