Has anyone seen Stomp in NYC? We are considering it for an upcoming trip. Only the $72 tickets are available- nothing less expensive. Is it worth it? How's the seating? We can get 4th row orchestra or 1st row balcony - we were thinking balcony might be better. I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Go for the balcony seats. It's a very small theater. I've seen the show a few times, not for a good 6 or 7 years though, but the last time I sat in the last row of the balcony and saw everything perfectly.

GO for the balcony. I saw that show, it was good for the first 15 minutes, after that the only thing I was thinking was "oh god is this ever going to end " LOL....

LOL - I saw it in Chicago (ironic, since we're right outside NYC). I'd much rather see a broadway production. However, DH wants to take ds11, and he'd love it.

I loved it, but I can see how it could drive some people bonkers. Then again, I'm probably the only person that hated Phantom of the Opera. Just goes to show, different strokes for different folks :thumbsup2.

You're not the only person who hated Phantom! I did, too!!! I didn't see it until I was a senior in high school and had seen several other shows both in NYC and on tour. I was very fortunate that my parents took me to NYC once a year from 2nd-12th grade, although it was more the last two years as I was also visiting colleges and that I live right in between Boston and Providence so I had seen many great shows growing up... Phantom wasn't one of them! (That chandelier? NOT impressive! I turned to my dad and said "That was it?" His reply: "I guess so..." And the Japanese tourists sitting behind my mom that were singing, just not cool haha

I saw it in London... I wouldn't have wanted to be any closer than the balcony I was in.

I left with a migraine.. :(

Thanks everyone. I bought the balcony tickets. I'm pretty sure we'll enjoy it.
