We should be driving home right now. Unfortunately, last night at Disneyland I came down with something. At around midnight, my 4 year old came down with the same thing.

This morning, my dh and dmil got hit too. Ugh.

Kudos to HoJo though. They are letting us stay an extra night at the $99 Ent Rate in the same room.

I hope we feel better by tomorrow morning!!!!

That sucks :( At least it happened when you should be driving home and not when you are supposed to be having fun in the parks! And that is great that Hojo gave you the same ET rate as you were paying for the other nights.

We seem to get sick every time we go to Disneyland. Despite being VERY diligent about trying to prevent it (seriously, I act like Monk on vacation, lol - Lysoling the hotel room, having everybody gargle with saltwater each night, making everyone shower and put on a fresh clean pair of jammies each night after getting back from the parks, using Purell after every ride and washing hands numerous times throughout the day - especially before meals, but at other times, as well).

We usually don't get any kind of stomach virus, though...typically a sore throat/head cold kind of deal. Oh, and all of my kids caught chicken pox at Disneyland - THAT was fun.

Sure hope you feel better fast!

Oh my gosh, you are my twin sister!! :goodvibes
I do exactly the same things as you, and we always have been ill too. I was using a benzalkonium choride foaming hand sanitizer, and our next trip I plan on trying the alcohol based sanitizer, maybe that will work better for us. We always peg it to the plane trips. (Being stuck on a plane for 5 hours with germs circulating.)

OP, you and your family get better soon!! We spent several days out of our week 'cooped up' in our room last trip when my son and I were both ill, but thank goodness it was at the Hojo's, we felt so much better being there, rather than at another hotel that isn't as bright and cheery. Also, the beds are so comfy there that was good to lay there and wallow in pity. (That's what I did, not saying you did, OP! ) I am glad too that they allowed the one extra night at the entertainment rate, that's great!

Just wondering if that could be allergies since the climate is probably different than what you are used to and their are different plants, etc. Just a thought.

LOL! It's become so "typical" for us to catch something while we're there that I work really hard to prevent it. Hasn't worked yet, though! And we drive there, so we can't even blame it on the plane! :rotfl2:

Naaah...we're actually natives of the L.A. area, so that climate/environment is not "foreign" to us at all. Plus, we don't start feeling sick until our last day (after 5 days in the parks), or during the drive home, and then it turns into a legitimate virus kind of thing, complete with wonderful phlegm-filled coughs that we're dealing with for a couple of weeks afterward. Soooooo fun.

My whole family has had this stomach virus this week. It started on Wednesday with my 14 year old, and one by one we all came down with it. I got it yesterday, and was just so sick! I don't think I have been that sick in a long time. For us it is fever, the runs, and throwing up (sometimes all at once!). My son just now got it today.

I hope you feel better soon. It has been going around our school district here in Northern California.
