Someone got ahold of our Disney cc info and charged a whole bunch of stuff. Chase was really easy to work with and I think things are straightened out but now I'm totally freaked out. If they got that info, what else do they have???

I'm going to call my bank today to let them know.

We have 825 credit scores so now I'm really worried about that. I'm thinking I want to join some sort of credit monitoring service. Anyone have any suggestions? Needs to be budget of course!

Thanks...

I would notify all three credit reporting agencies that your info may have been compromised and put fraud alerts on each of them. That should prevent any shenanigans of opening new accounts in your name. Chances are the cc info was obtained through a retailer breach and all they got was the cc info, but just to be sure... Good luck. Hopefully everything settles down and you have no further trouble.:grouphug: This stuff can be such a pain!:headache:

They could of gotten it for someone buying online, or maybe some place you bought from an employee took it.... i use myfico.com and i have alerts also set up on my chase card it self i get text alerts from them.

You only have to contact one of the three Credit Bureaus to place a Fraud Alert; they will automatically notify the other two.

And more than likely all they got was the CC number and nothing else. They would have had to actually get into Chae's database to get any additional information. And if there had been a breach at Chase it would probably have been major headlines everywhere.

You know the same thing happened to me two weeks ago with my Chase Disney cc! I watch both my cc account and my checking account like a hawk, checking daily sometimes multiple times what charges are going through and what money is being taken out...and then one afternoon at work I get a call from Chase saying my cc number has been compromised,,,and then listed off three charges of over $100 each from Tmobile made in Washington state to see if they sounded familiar,,,,which of course they did not! I have never done business with Tmobile and the only person I know from Washington state was actually visiting me at the time!!!

They were very easy to work with,,,and now you guys have tipped me off to the extra work I need to get on now after the fact ! Thanks for the info!:surfweb:

Actually Chase never even called me. The bad charges started last week. The way I found out was that my card was declined this morning...

Some of the charges were at resturants, like Baja Fresh, Sushi, a diner. I would think they would need an actual card for that, right?

Credit Bureau's have been notified, hopefully they don't have any other of my info.
