Stolen Autograph Book

We just got back from our Disney trip this past Tuesday and a whole bag of personal items was stolen from by suitcare by someone at Orlando International. I can replace all my things, but the bag also contained my little boy's autograph book. Every page was filled with signatures that he's collected over four trips to Disney and Universal. I've never seen him cry so hard. I showed him how we can get copies of all the autographs he collected from Disney from the blogs, but I couldn't find the four autographs from Universal that he had (Captain America, Spiderman, Wolverine and Storm). Does anyone out there have them and would you be willing to email me a scan of the autograph so I can print it out for my son? He's only 8 and he's broken-hearted. Thanks.

yes I sure do have all of them...I am at work until 530. When I get home i can get them scanned
That is so sad about your son...When i got home I found a little flyer in my luggage that the TSA picked my bag (random, they say) to be searched...everything I packed so neatly was soooooo messed up. I was mad, but nothing that I know of was stolen. I put my son prized souvies in his carry-on (thank God)

I can't help with your question,but just wanted to say that 'stinks'.Your poor boy.
I remember on our last trip,they opened our case+we also had the piece of paper inside to tell us.I could'nt believe the mess,1 ornament was broken,other's were unwrapped+not wrapped back up safely.I know they have to sometimes do this+there time is limited-but come on,at least try+re wrap someones items,so as more don't get broken.x.

Thanks for all your thoughts and possible help. I have to do a few more posts before I can PM anyone. I'm trying to do that now. It's sad that there are people out there who do things like that.

That is so rotten I cant believe it......why cant something be done about these behind the scenes people at the airports that seem to have a "i can do whatever I want" syndrome!!???? Do they/shouldnt they have cameras in every single area that workers have access to passengers personal items!?

I doubt a TSA person would steal a bag of souvies. An Ipod or other valuable, maybe. I've always seen them working in teams. I know there have been news reports of baggage handlers stealing from bags, but I would expect them to go for something more valuable also.

I see a couple of possibilities. The bag might have inadvertently been left out of the bag or put in another person's bag during inspection. It might be worth checking with the airport authority to see if it has been found.

It might have inadvertently been left at the hotel, particularly if you were packing in a rush. I'd check with them also.

I hope it turns up. I know how disappointing it is to lose something like that.

I can't believe how wonderful all the gang at Universal is! They came through with a new autograph book and a few surprises that just made Danny's face light up! I never thought I could get those signatures replaced for him. So, from one very grateful mom and one absolutely THRILLED little boy, "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You changed the trip from sad memories to happy ones again and words can't express the joy I saw on Danny's face." His eyes welled-up and the first thing he said was, "Mommy, they sent me a new book and Spiderman signed it!" After that, his smile was so big!

To everyone out there who expressed concern through their posts and to those who read the thread, I want you all to know that Universal's team went beyond my wildest expectations to make one child happy. What a wonderful company and what unbelievable team members. I can't wait to go back! Ellie
