Stocking Stuffers

practical stuff...shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, socks!! (love getting socks - cause who buys new socks, y'know? :lmao: ), and snacks & such.

I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas.

My stocking is always empty. I can't understand it - every year I get zilch and the rest of the family has overflowing stockings.

So, it's NOT just me! I have the same problem! Last year, my nine-year-old asked if I had checked it. I tried to gracefully (and without a hint of resentment!) explain that I didn't think that there was anything there. My dh said, "Did you look?" I said, "Did you put anything in there?" He thought for a split second, and then said, "Oh! No." Who did he think might have?

think practical things that you'd buy anyway:
toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss
deodorant or perfume
chapstick or lipgloss
nailpolish or nail clippers
mittens or gloves
pens, pencils, mini notepads, crayons
gum, m&ms, lifesavers
a wallet or coin purse
brush or comb, ponytail holders, barrettes or hairclips
yo-yo or hackey sack
silly putty
pokemon cards or baseball cards or a deck of cards
matchbox cars
earrings
fuzzy socks or novelty socks
small one pot size pack of coffee beans
rain-x for the car windshield
airfreshners for the car
small candles
tide pen
eyeglass repair kit
cellphone case or hard cover
lottery scratch tickets
paperback book
crossword or soduku puzzle book
key chains
pocket tape measure
bubble bath
Excellent! I'm going out to buy several of these tomorrow thanks to your great idea! We always need these and nobody ever has one. Where can I find them inexpensively?

Awwwwwwww boooo hisssss ;) I do stockings for my parents and my husband does one for me. I'm actually getting two stockings this year, one from my mom and one from DH!

I figure they spent all my growing up years making me stockings and not getting them themselves so now I fill stockings for them!

A tangerine in the toe. Lots of long things that peer out over the top. Chocolate. Little puzzles. A deck of cards. A small game. Cosmetics. Little boxes, empty or full. Staplers, pencils, paperclips, magnets, gum, batteries, small flashlights, things that spin or whirl, Jacob's Ladder.

hmmm as a kid I got an orange and an apple then all kinds of little stuff. Normally for us it was stuff that was cheap and cute. I kind of do the same things with my kids except putting the fuit in.

Toothbrush
toothpaste
antibacterial stuff
lotion
bubble bath
lip gloss/chapstick
socks
candy canes

I do my inlaws stockings too because they fill stockings at their house for all of us kids and grandkids I thought they deserved stockings so I bought them and every other year we go home and I am the only one that fills them.

Thank you all for some really good ideas!

OMG, Axe:lmao: I remember when my boys went through that stage. My whole house smelled like Axe for several years.

I forgot to say that we put some of our presents on the tree. Little things like gift cards, jewelry, cash, and candy boxes get wrapped and stuck inside the tree branches. Half the fun of Christmas morning is rifling the tree for gifties.:goodvibes

I think my house will be smelling like Axe for a while. I don't mind the smell as long as my DS doesn't use the whole can at once. It is worth it because he is so amused at himself once he gets himself ready Axe and all.

Try walking past the boys locker room at the middle school--you need a GAS MASK to get through the fog of AXE there. :lmao:
